Fabulous hotel in lovely location. Only negative was how noisy it was in the morning as breakfast was served in central courtyard. Plates/cutlery/chattering and (worst of all) table and chair legs scraping the floor from 8am every morning.

First of all, the room. Its a good size containing a comfortable bed, air conditioning (essential), fridge and safe. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment and a bidet. The water pressure on the shower wasn’t too great at the time of writing but for me that was a very minor issue. I guess the only thing I expected to be there but wasn’t was coffee/tea making facilities. For me this wasn’t a huge issue as I’d booked breakfast, but for some it might be. The staff I found to be very friendly and helpful whenever I spoke to them. The ones I spoke to also had a good level of English which helped me out enormously. Breakfast is a good selection. Cereals and cooked, as well as a range of fruit, cheese and ham, and pastries. I’m here in the summer so I was able to have it outside in the garden which was a very pleasant way to start the day. While on the subject of food I’ll mention dinner too. I had it two nights here and found it to be of good quality with a good selection. The only downside that I can think of really is that it’s a bit further away from the centre of the old town than some might like. It’s a 15 minute walk to the Setas. Not an issue for me particularly, but just to mention it. Also, as my room was above reception (227) there as a bit of noise in the early hours with other guests coming in from nights out. In short, this is a hotel I really enjoyed being in and would recommend it.

Noisy but nice!
Beware of rooms above reception area , very noisy from the reception staff who played loud music after 1am, and anyone returning from a night out it is very loud. Because of marble floors the sound carries upstairs! Outside, no bars on the road but very very noisy even though it is on a quiet street. Reception staff not as friendly as I’ve experienced before. Hotel breakfast is good, lots of choice. Pool area very good and courtyard is a nice place to relax with a drink if you can work out how to get a drink as no staff around during the day. Room 224 was great standard, big bed, but very warm as no air conditioning working. In July/August it would be impossible to sleep!! Overall a lovely break as Seville is magical, we felt the hotel is lacking in some places, particularly late at night where they allow other guests to make as much noise as they like, without thought of the time of day (eg 3am talking and laughing in Reception after a night out!). It is only the rooms above reception , rest of the hotel is quiet and respectful of other people staying. Shame, but we enjoyed our stay, don’t pay for a better room or you could end up not sleeping too much!

Maintenance of the hotel is obviously not their top priority. Our hotel room had a broken shower head, the base of the toilet was leaking water, the room was hot and stuffy. That’s not the worst part of our experience! We had a rental car that was such a pain to park. Their parking was two blocks away, and when we tried to park where they said to park, someone else was parked there. We had to go back to the hotel where they gave us a voucher to park at some public lot and take an Uber back. The whole ordeal wasted 3 hours of our time. Would it recommend this place, especially if you have a car.

The only think I did not like is the ventilation. Lobby area does not have ventilation. Room’s ventilation shuts down overnight and when you leave the room.

An attractive hotel in a quiet area. Very clean and staff friendly. The courtyard at the centre of the hotel was a lovely space to eat, drink or relax and the reception area had a beautiful tiling. Food was fine although some dinner choices not available. Breakfast buffet choices were good, although surprisingly for Seville, the orange juice was very watery. There was a pool and nice sun terrace on the level below, but we didn't have time to use them. It is in the Macarena area just inside the old city walls. This is a more traditional area away from the centre mainly used by the locals and the road outside was very quiet. However we found it was very easy to walk to the centre. It took us about 15 mins to walk to Setas and from there you can cross to the main well known shops, then Cathedral, Alcazar etc - it all seems to be more or less a straight line and a pleasant walk which felt very safe. There are regular buses nearby but it was extremely hot when we went, so eventually we used a taxi a couple of times which was quite cheap. There were plenty of small bars/cafes and shops in the roads near to the hotel and it is a short walk to the Alameda de Hercules, a very large square with lots of restaurants, bars and play area which was very popular with the locals. There is an old local market hall nearby selling fresh produce and just by the city walls, the Macarena Church which houses their famous Macarena Madonna.
