Nice view. Room was comfortable. Dining is a drive away and limits breakfast availability

Excellent
Conditions and location are excellent. Hotel has its own restaurant Price is reasonable and food amounts is very enough. However, it doesn't have lunch and dinner end at 9:00pm. If you come late, you can eat snack only.

Great position and stunning views
Beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony. Motel style with bar and restaurant. Room was nice, reception area had an awful smell, not sure what is was, possibly the carpet. However, we were not staying in reception! So overall a nice property.

Room above us was noisy. Options to eat and sleep are limited in the whole area, so felt good about the choice to do some great hiking.

Great location to stay if visiting Mt Cook
Valley view room was superb, room clean and comfortable.
Would have given 5 stars across the board however, still some issues they need to work out regarding their heater and telephone. Heater stopped working after we came back from dinner, luckily we found some extra blankets to keep us warm overnight. Phone was not working either.

Room with a view down the valley was worth the extra cost. Requested in advance that beds be set as 2 singles. This hadn't been done but was quickly rectified.
Limited dining options is our only grumble.
Excellent base for a few days

Loved it
We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms seem updated and clean, and had great views (the front rooms have a better view of the mountains of course). Also the on site restaurant was perfect for dinner.

Very nice and convenient in the park. Wish we had a front room with a view of Mt Cook, but room was still nice and had a balcony with a ridgeline view.

Our valley view room has the best sunset view of Mt Cook. Very modern and clean room. Comfortable beds. Easy access to all the attractions in the park. Had breakfast buffet every day, well worth the money!

My room had a stunning view of the mountains. You should ask for a room that faces the mountains. The room was modern and very nice.

Motel room with a gorgeous view. Comfy bed, decent shower. Noise from others was not an issue for us. For breakfast and lunch options you have to go to the Heritage, which is a 10-minute walk.

The front desk staff was wonderful. When we arrived, we were assisted with our luggage, as this property does not have an elevator. We received advise and assistance on several other occasions and always felt like honored guests to this beautiful area.

Comfortable and quiet
Mt Cook Lodge was surprisingly pleasant. I wasn't expecting much but the room was well fitted and quiet, and the bathroom was spacious and had heated floors which would be very good in winter. The cafe was a bit pricey but the food was very good. The walks were great fun and the views amazing but unfortunately the glaciers are receding rapidly and icebergs in the lakes are very small. I suggest you stay here a night or two and see them as soon as possible before they're gone forever.

The motel staff was great ! They definitely need to think of a shuttle to go to and from motel to Hermitage specifically for senior travellers. Hermitage average service inspire of making a reservation for dinner they messed it up. Had a similar experience for the experience booked but Sophie was great there and sorted out the issue quickly.

The location in the park is great. The room was small, uninteresting and had a boring view. Staff said they could not change us to a room with a better view, even if we paid more, since we had booked through a third party. There were no options for grab and go coffee; you had to sign up for their expensive breakfast buffet. We ate dinner in the bar. The beet root salad was great, and the pork loin dinner was not.
