The accomodation is only a 5-7 minute walk from the main town which had plenty of choice for food. The rooms were clean and a good size and our motorbikes were secure in the car park located right next to our rooms

The place is shabby and the food was pretty awful there was a lot of it but the quality was poor. I paid €11 for breakfast I could hardly eat any of it because I’m vegan

Room fine, staff very good, but eat elsewhere!
The staff were lovely, very cheerful and welcoming. The food was edible but overpriced for the quality and the wine was dreadful.

The exterior of the property is a little run down. The main problem with this property is its proximity to a fire/ambulance/police station with emergency vehicles operating all night with sirens! The property needs double glazing.

Quiet, convenient and comfortable
This is a relatively inexpensive hotel and though its facilities are at the budget end of the spectrum it is very comfortable. A kettle is provided with tea and coffee - not always the case even in more expensive hotels.
Breakfast and other meals are available at the on-site restaurant at reasonable prices.
The hotel is easily accessible by road, only a ten minute walk from the centre-ville and is situated in a lovely grassed area near part of the ancient town defences.
The staff are very friendly. They will tolerate bad French but switch to English if you need it.
Parking is free and plentiful.
I would gladly use this hotel again.

Best range of hotels
We arrived late after Eurotunnel problems but the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable, dinner was delicious and the ease of getting away early the next day for a dog show makes this hotel (and others in the chain)perfect. There is never any fuss about dogs this particular hotel is surrounded by parkland right outside the hotel bedroom>

Well located
We stayed for 2 nights and were very satisfied. Located on edge of a park with a pleasant walk into the town past historic fortifications. The room was clean, comfortable and well insulated from external noise although the soundproofing between individual rooms not so good. The staff were welcoming and helpful and we dined on both nights in the hotel restaurant. The first night's meal was good as the restaurant was quiet but on the second night (a Friday) it was quite busy and the kitchen struggled, the main course being delayed and rather overcooked. However, I would happily stay there again.

My first Campanile, and hope for many more
A bit of a hike from the train station, but a great "park" next door with the fortress walls of Vauban to wander through! Good wifi, until evening when too many guest clog it up with netflix. (really, People, Turn on the television!) Restaurant is excellent. In-room coffee and tea are great. Clean and well appointed room, in an interesting town.

Well located and easy to find. Pleasant situation with open parkland right outside the rooms. Friendly and efficient staff and room was comfortable. Their policy on dogs in the rooms is relaxed and makes travelling with your pet "hassle-free" This range of hotels, Campanile, have always provided the same level of consistency and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Excellent value
This is our third stay at this hotel. It's clean and convenient. Rooms are basic but have everything needed for a short stay. Staff are freindly and the breakfast is good. This time we ate in the evening and had a fantastic meal. Can't think of anything negative - would recommend!

Good Price and Handy Locatuon
e stayed here for one night because we were going to a neighbouring Brocante the next day and wanted somewhere nearby as it was an early start....Looks rather like an American MOTEL....We asked for a ground floor room because my sister has a problem with stairs and they accomodated us well...The hotel is right on the main road through Mauberge so could be noisy, but we didn't notice it throughout the night...The rooms are rather dark and small, with a good sized bathroom..Windows have those pull up and down heavy blinds, I guess to block the noise....There is a restuarant on the premises which was very handy as we couldn't be bothered to go searching for food after driving all day...Food was adequate..wouldnt call it 'fine' dining experience' but for this instance it was fine.....Staff were friendly and helpful...All in all, for a low priced hotel we were very satisfied, and will return again next year....

campanile, Maubege
This hotel was very quiet and extremely comfortable and we didn,t feel pressured to rush out and liked the fact the time to vacate your room was 12noon, and we were delighted to have a kettle in our room as this does
n,t seem to be a feature in French hotels ,
the only very minor faults were that the handrail at the
stairs could do with being re-varnished and the surface at the top of the stairs is breaking up
