Beautiful hotel in Venice with outstanding service
This hotel is absolutely amazing!!! I have stayed here many times, but truly become overcome with joy when I arrive. I was warmly greeted by Fabio, whose customer service was outstanding. Nakin brought my bags up to my room, and then he brought me a drink on their beautiful terrace right on the grand canal. It is pure magic! His service is outstanding. Then, Angelo helped me with the ferry schedule. His customer service was outstanding! I am so grateful to be staying in this magical hotel.

Great Spot in Venice
I was in Venice for one night at the beginning of a longer trip. This was a great place for a short stay. The location is easily walkable from the train station. It is also very easy to get to the airport vaparetto. The hotel has charm and a helpful staff. I had a nice canal view. There is also a canal deck at the end of the hotel which provides a view. Only downside: The weather was warm and the room was hard to cool at times.

Excellent location, clean hotel
The breakfast included is similar to hotels of much lower quality (e.g., orange juice was canned, fruit was mostly canned mixed with fresh apples and the breakfast rolls were OK but not freshest, and the scrambled eggs could have been powdered). However, the location is excellent. We had a view of the canal, which was great. Unfortunately, other than breakfast, the hotel does not have any service. There is a bar but it only had drinks. There are good restaurants near by (Muro San Stae was great and reasonably priced). Good stay overall. The hotel was very clean - no issues with anything.

The hotel is a museum, you stay in a historic building, the room was clean and comfortable, sheets and mattress felt new and clean. Very friendly staff, it has a terrace with a spectacular view of the grand canal, not too many amenities at the room, for the same reason that you are staying in a historic building, the room feels old, I would stay here again if it is available.

Our 4 Nights Stay
The location of this hotel is perfect…close enough to walk to everything but away from the biggest crowds. There is a wooden patio facing The Grand Canal…perfect to sit and watch the boats and gondolas. The staff couldn’t have been any nicer or accommodating. Nothing was a problem…gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and sites..arranged our water taxi upon check out to get us to the train station. We took advantage of the in hotel breakfast every morning..wonderful selection of meats cheeses fruits and pastries. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.

I booked a basic single room (1 twin bed), however I was put in a different room. Although the new room was larger, (double bed, a daybed and sitting area) it was evident that it had not been used for some time. There were cobwebs in the room and live spiders on the ceiling. Also the room had an odor. The second night there I stayed in my daughter's room which was much cleaner and had no odor. The breakfast buffet was fabulous!

The staff were incredible , the beds comfortable and the view was fantastic. It’s just the rooms were a little old and dingy the one thing that really stood out was the slippers they give you to shower were brown they looked so sold and dirty so it just gave a bad vibe . But it wouldn’t stop me from staying there . The location is quite a hike from the train station you will need a water taxi direct if you have a lot of luggage .

This hotel the perfect combination of class, charm, with several idiosyncrasies that go with a 700 year old building refitted for modern era. It's not perfect, it can't be, and that's part of the charm. The staff was excellent and the location is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to the main attractions. We would stay again.

This hotel was rated as a 4-Star but it definitely was not. There were renovation projects going on and the restaurant was only open for breakfast. Renovation work is acceptable as long as I can't hear it in my room. Not being able to eat lunch and dinner there was definitely NOT acceptable. With all of the beautiful furnishings and being on the canal, this hotel could be a 5-Star hotel with renovations. The Murano glass art and lighting was fabulous.
