The hotel was very dirty. The staff were not friendly and everyone seemed like they had better things to do. There is not parking. There is not breakfast, even though I paid extra for these things when booking. The "bar" did not have wine or tonic water. The valet was in-your-face, but would only park you car... you have to get it in the morning.

My five-star review was primarily due to the exceptional staff. Walter, the valet, set the tone with his outstanding service. Given the challenges of parking in downtown Birmingham, opting for the hotel's valet service proved worthwhile. My room's cleanliness and amenities were consistently maintained thanks to Angie from housekeeping. Throughout my stay, Rere and Charlea provided friendly assistance around the clock. Although I only visited the bar/restaurant once, the attendant's warm hospitality left a lasting impression. My stay was 3 due to a family emergency but I enjoyed the stay so much, I booked an additional night to just relax.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big but not much furniture. Design needed work. Elevator was unsafe and broken. Breakfast was very good but took a long time. We used to stay at this property when it was not a Hotel Indigo. It was quirky and fun and clean and safe. It is none of those things now. We won’t go back.
