After 5 stays in Grindwald. This was a nightmare
I have been 5 times to Grindewald and this is the worst stay ever. The night before my departure. I contacted the front desk to please help me arrange transportation to the train terminal. I needed to be at the train terminal by 0600 am. To make it on time for my international flight. I was notified that they dont start providing transportation until 0800 am. I asked for help to help me find a taxi or other private transfer methods. The staff did not have a taxi contact info. He told me to google it. He did not know the bus schedule either. He told me my only choice was to walk to the terminal early in am. With freezing temperatures, 3 females, and one of them really sick. I wasnt going to walk with all our luggage. As we walked from the train station earlier during the day. And it was sleepary and dangerous due to weather and therr was ice on sidewalks.
I explained to the person in reception that I was risking lossing my international flight from Zurich. He did not seem to care. He did not make any efforts to help me find a solution. I tried contacting a taxi and private transfer but I do not speak German and did not undertand the voicemails. I ended up having to wait until 0800 am. Did not make it to Zurich on time. My sisters were flying to a destination were the arline only provd only 1 return flight from Madrid a week. So the rest has been a total nightmare. We ended having to purchase new tickets and make extra connections and spending more $$$$.
