The hotel has no lift or air-conditioning and this is not stated on the website so if you are on the 3rd floor as I was you have to drag your bags up a winding staircase. Also you cannot oper the window enough to let in fresh air which makes the room very hot in summer

Almost perfect......
The room we had was lovely, with a settee and 2 arm chairs plus a big bed (very comfortable). My only 'gripe' would be the bathroom - at my age it is very difficult to clamber over the side of the bath to have a shower - and the cost of the breakfast. 19 euros each for breakfast is very expensive - it looked lovely but at £35 for 2 people was not something we were prepared to pay. As I say, apart from that, wonderful hotel in a wonderful location.

Central location in the pedestrian zone
We stayed here for 3 nights. We reserved the Executive Room and were not disappointed. Large and modern. Big shower and bathroom. Hotel has a main house and a 2nd building just behind the main house. Due to it's central location in the pedestrian zone of Friedrichshafen access with your car is limited to loading and unloading. Also expect some light crowd noises typical for pedestrian zones. We wish the room would have come with a fan to circulate the air as the rooms don't have A/C (air condition). We had to open the windows letting in even more noise.

One of my worst hotel experiences. Imagine arriving after 11 PM, entering your room, and finding people inside: screams, fright, and complaints. Going back to the front desk to complain and being sent to another room, only to have the same thing happen—a person sleeping inside gets scared, wakes up startled, and starts screaming. If this happened to me, I would sue the hotel. A hotel with two buildings, one without an elevator. Climbing three floors by stairs is something I wouldn't recommend to anyone of a certain age. There's no air conditioning, and the worst part is that on the last night, I had to sleep in another hotel because when I got to the room, the key didn't work, and there was no one at the front desk to assist. The excuse was that there was a phone number on a piece of paper at the front, written in tiny letters in the middle of the darkness. I will not return and wouldn't recommend this hotel even to my worst enemy.

Disappointing
No elevator despite it being listed. No air con in the room, only one window could be opened and that could only open fully (not be left half open for a little air). The room only had one bizarre light in the floor - no ceiling or wall lighting making it extremely dark. Requested a double bed when booking the Comfort Room months earlier as advertised but only received single beds. Bathroom is nothing like the photos - just a shower head over a bath. There’s a kettle in the room yet no coffee, tea or even mugs. When checking out the guy said they actually only have single beds and the photos just come from Hamburg so don’t represent the real rooms. Will not be booking a Select Hotel again.

Das Zimmer befand sich im Nebenhaus, war sehr geräumig und mit Sitzecke ausgestattet. Die Betten waren hervorragend und alles war sehr sauber. Einziges Manko war, das die Heizung im Bad wohl defekt war. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war hervorragend.
