Loved this hotel. Staff was very attentive. Hotel was spacious and super clean. The area was quiet and super safe. The tube was 2 blocks away. We were 1 block away from restaurants, shops and convenient store. What we loved the most was how close it was to tourists areas.

Nice place and location
Overall good but if you are more than one person the room would be a bit small, the bed was really hard

Ok stay at beauchamp ( after being moved from port
On checking in we were told room was in maintenance and we were moved to another hotel along the street ( The Beauchamp) The check in agent was helpful and checked us in an hour early . We were upgraded to bigger room which was ok , nice bathroom but the whole tap mixer control fell off the wall! Room was dated .Quiet st and good location for British museum.

Very clean, quiet, professionally run little hotel. Steps away from the British Museum. Within walking distance of so many more sites worth seeing. Staff was always courteous and friendly. Would stay here again.

Great location!
We stayed here for the location, great access to the Underground, buses, and the West End. The breakfast was not included and too expensive. We tried the English breakfast one day and it was not worth the 24 pounds that they charged. Area was quiet. There was a serious lack of drawers, there wasn’t a dresser. The kitchenette was nice.

Older but renovated hotel. Larger rooms than most modern UK/Europe hotels. Easy walking distance to British Museum. A little longer walk to British Library. I would stay there next time.

Great location - cosy hotel
Great location in a quiet neighborhood with a local ambience away from the crowds - yet in walking distance to relevant London highlights. The hotel is a little worn down, but is still charming. We had a room on the second floor overlooking a gourdious courtyard.

Walking distance to the British Museum and many fantastic restaurants including Cordon Bleu London. Friendly and helpful staff made our stay a pleasure. Construction work was less than wonderful but that can happen anywhere. We will stay here again!

It was a fabulous stay for one week.. The room was large, with everything we needed.. easily walkable to Soho and many other attractions.. lovely to come back to a quiet, charm filled street. We needed an iron with board, and staff were only too happy to oblige. I will definitely stay here again

We booked a room at Grange Portland but they moved us next door to the adjacent hotel, which was actually a nicer room. Breakfast was good, location is good excellent next to British Museum. Staff was helpful and responsive.

Good location!
Hotel is in a great location. I love that there is space in front for a car to drop off (especially if you have luggage). The location feels safe - right by the British museum. The room was very comfortable. The elevator is a little small, but we managed okay. Please note there is no A/C.

Great price for hotel in this location. Housekeeping was very responsive - especially the day I did not go out until after 3pm. Quite old fashioned decor but huge bed - and the room was clean and comfortable.

The Museum
The main advantage of the hotel is its convenience for visits to The British Museum. The hotel is not as old as some of the exhibits, but is more 'run down' than many of them. It is very 'tired' decoratively, not well-equipped (no bar or in-house restaurant), the 'kitchenette' amounts to a microwave and sink' with no real practicality. It is not well maintained (a cracked bathroom washbasin, and a cracked toilet seat, for example). We had a basement room, looking out on a dirty scrub of brambles and various weeds amid water-damaged walls. If money were spent, it could be a very pleasant building, but it has not been (yet). Only its position justifies staying here.
