The check in went great with the weekend clerk. The weekday clerk wasn't as friendly, seemingly over her head with paperwork. The elevator was out of service overnight due to a bad storm so had to take the stairs. If there's a mobility issue it could be a real problem, as I had. Thankfully it was just out one night. The night clerk didn't want to deal with customers asking about the elevator issue, but the rest of the hotel had power, thanks to a huge generator.
The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. Fridge worked good. Overall the room was very clean. Desk chair was broke. Toiletries are all in dispensers and in some cases hard to get to. Shower doesn't have much volume. Toilet is a Very low near the floor so if you have knee issues and stay for a few days it'll make them feel worse.
Breakfast is the same selections every day, but do alternate bacon or sausage every other day. No tongs to take bread or bagels out of the toaster, so it'll be super hot on your bare hands.
There really isn't anything near this hotel except a truck stop, a Denny's restaurant, a vape shop, and a store that sells fireworks. Otherwise you have to go to other towns for more offerings.
I think this hotel was built a number of years ago for frackers coming from out of state to work, drilling for gas, so there's lots of trucks and heavy equipment vehicles in the parking lot. Remarkably the hotel was clean even tho the workers leave clean and come back pretty dirty.
