Charming, but beds and bedding too old for me.
The feel of the hotel is perfectly fitting for it being a converted Georgian home. We loved the location close to Euston station and buses to anywhere in the city. There were also plenty of food options nearby, and the included breakfast was a decent full English. The room was on the small side which we expected but the bathroom was so tiny. The door hit the sink, which was directly in front of the toilet so by centimeters, and you had to turn the shower head to avoid the shower door. Water was nice and hot though! The beds were the biggest disappointment. They were terribly hard and felt like box springs from 70's rather than a mattress, and the pillows were stiff rectangles of unknown material that were on the thin side so you had to stack them. We liked the experience but would not book here again.

New Year's Eve
This was a lovely hotel. Although due to unforeseen circumstances the reception staff were not there, the Morgan Hotel nearby was very helpful and provided everything I could need. The room was small but lovely and clean and had everything you could want for a night's stay. Quiet clean and atmospheric. Lovely breakfast the next day and extremely helpful dining room staff.

Wrong room type
I booked a twin bedded room but got a double room. A bit jarring as it was mother & son! The hotel did not have a reception so we coped!

Great location
We've stayed here before as we love the location of this hotel. But unfortunately this time there was a mix up with our booking. We were given a basement room which we had specifically requested not to have. The receptionists phoned up a manager who wanted more money for a bigger room but we were just as insistent that we were not going to pay. As we had an agreement with the receptionist. He finally backed down but it left us feeling frustrated and annoyed. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the water pressure very good. There's tea and coffee facilities in the room. It's quiet and the breakfast is great. The breakfast ladies are excellent. As I've said location is key, near the shopping streets and not far to the theatres.

For a very last minute booking due to being let down this really did the job. On a nice road, close enough to where we needed to be and great value for money, with breakfast included. I would stay here again if needed to be in this area.

Little getaway
Hotel is in a great location. 10 minute walk from euston Station. Hotel staff friendly, housekeeping came in and freshened up the room on our second day and replenished tea/coffee etc. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, the ladies frequently asking if we wanted anything else. Would definitely stay here again.

1 night leisure stay. Great central location - just a 5 minute walk from Tottenham Ct Road tube station. Room was a little outdated but nice, clean and warm. Tea coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave provided. Lovely home - cooked breakfast with good menu choice.

Nightmare checking in process
My Hotels.com booking stated that Reception was open until 7pm so I made a point of getting there at 6.30pm only to find a note saying Reception closed at 6.00pm Mon to Fri so to pick up keys you have to walk 10 mins there and back to its sister hotel. There is nothing on the hotel website about this but maybe if you book direct with the hotel you get notified. So I had to walk 20 minutes on a dark, drizzly night to pick up keys, a situation I had purposefully tried to avoid. I was given room 14. When I then got into the Regency Hotel there was no signage about room location. I trailed my heavy luggage up the stairs to the top floor but room 14 is not located with room 15 etc. After a treasure hunt I found room 14 in the basement next to the breakfast room with rooms 7 & 8. On what planet does this make sense. The only room location description is a basic building floor plan which is difficult to read. I complained to Reception the next morning and he said the Receptionist the night before should have given me instructions on finding the room but he didn't. The whole checking in process was a complete nightmare.

Mediocre
Hotel a bit dated though clean and staff very friendly. There were a couple of issues with the room - a flashing light bulb and the toilet flush. Breakfast was disappointing as very thin slices of toast (I suspect supermarket sliced bread) with hard poached eggs. I would not recommend for the price though was in a good location for the event I was attending.

We had great communication from friendly staff before and during our stay. Took advantage of the free bag storage before our check-in (just be sure to confirm when the front desk is staffed as you may need to visit a sister property). Our room was as described and expected, with mini fridge and microwave plus tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us. Stayed on the 3rd floor with no issues and the moring breakfast was delicious and served quickly. It's an easy walk to the Tube and we would stay again.

The check in desk closes at 5:00 PM and if you arrive after that you have to walk about 5 blocks to check in at a sister hotel. So f it's raining, which is highly likely in London, you have to haul all your stuff with you in both directions ... not fun after traveling all day!

It was fine for my purpose: a less expensive room near the theater district. Unfortunately I didn’t receive the WiFi pass & the water pressure in the bathroom was poor—-especially in the morning when the toilet wouldn’t flush. The front desk attendant just said “We know”. The included breakfast was nice. I don’t expect I’ll book it again.

8/10 Very good

For a one night stay within easy walking distance to Euston Station, this hotel was good, but I don't think I would have been happy for more than one night. The room was tiny - the layout maximized space well, but it felt like a converted storage closet, and the bathroom was so small I could barely turn around. There was incredibly low water pressure in the shower. The mattres wasn't comfortable, but I'm not sure if that was a quality issue or just my personal taste. The property felt run-down, with peeling wallpaper and chipped banisters and yellow-tinted lampshades that looked older than I am. I could hear the stairs creaking and doors closing at all hours, but I expect that from older properties. One of the worst parts was having to check in at a property a 10-minute walk away. The hotel did message me in advance about this, but I was originally scheduled to arrive during hours when there was reception here so I didn't think much of it - due to a travel delay, I arrived later and had to walk down to the other hotel. Staff there was helpful, but it was still a nuisance. Additionally, there is no way to contact staff except by phone or walking over to the other hotel, so if you don't have a phone number that works in the UK, as I don't, there is no easy way to reach out to anyone about any issues. The good: breakfast was pretty good, though I never got the tea I ordered. The amenities were nice, and included a toothbrush/toothpaste and mending kit.

Room was clean and generally well equipped, but sited in the basement, with a window out onto a light well. Some minor maintenance issues. Breakfast room was very small, so dining in shifts. No lounge or other facilities. Otherwise, staff were friendly and helpful.
