A nice, but old riad.
I appreciate the opportunity to stay in a riad, a traditional Moroccan house. But I wouldn't say it was comfortable.

For the price it was fair. However, the roof in my room is too low that you need to hunch back all the time.

Great location, all the rest is average.
Upon arrival, very nice staff told us the room had 'a problem' (supposedly in the bathroom) and that they'd send us to another riad for the night. The place they sent us was not great (shower on the wc type of budget place - nothing major but not an improvement). They picked us up the following morning at 10am to go back to the original riad. Here we were told the room wasn't ready as they were cleaning it from the night before (??)... We waited for about 1 hour at the constant 'it'll be ready in one minute'. They finally give us room 2. All great, we left everything and went sightseeing. After an exhausting first day, we arrive to the room in the evening and our things are not there anymore! They moved us to a room in the third floor, ceilings in the bathroom so low that it was hard to go about without hitting your head. They apologised and all - Moroccans are quite lovely people, but would try something less dodgy next time, there are plenty for about the same price.

Some staffers are friendly. Some are more interested in selling me tour/guide than helping with information.

Perfect located Fes Riad with a stunning terrace
Riad Hala is the perfect Riad for your stay in Fes. The Riad is an excellent classical Riad with a beautiful courtyard, ornate Moroccan design in the rooms and an UNBEATABLE terrace with a full, unhindered 360 degree panoramic view over the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful and also passionate about sharing details about the Riad and Fes.

Nice riad
Good riad, Mohammed who runs the place is very friendly. He will organise a tour for you for the day after you arrive - just be wary that the guide you meet will immediately try to up sell the tour, and whilst on it you wi visit local shops that you are guided around and then pressured into buying things

Great Riad in the Medina
Mohammed at Riad Hala was so kind and helpful during out stay. The Riad is in a great location in the Medina with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable with lots of hot water.

Nice friendly spot in the Medina
I enjoyed this little Riad... I had a room on the ground floor which was quite comfortable. The location was an easy find from the gates, so I didn't have to drag my luggage all over the medina. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! I would stay there again.

Great value! nice place! nice staff!
When arrivin in Fez, I was collected from the main gate (Bab Boujloud) entrance of the Old Madina, near where the Riad Hala is located, as cars aren't allowed in. Great welcome and great hospitality continued throughout my stay. Helpful, providing history of Fez, suggestions, directions... made to feel at home! I hope to go back soon!

Quaint hotel
This Riyad was difficult to find in the medina. Good to take the hotel car service otherwise you get scammed by the people you give you directions to the hotel. The area didn't look very safe. The amenities displayed on the website were nonexistent. Breakfast was very good. Next time, I would find a hotel outside the medina.

Loved the friendliness!
We were looking for a riad in the Medina with a reasonable price and we got it! The best part of our stay was the helpfulness of Muhammad and his staff.

The owner of hotel has been helpful and friendly, but clearly interested in the fact that we spend more money as possible in Fes. He suggested to us expensive guide, who guided us to the workshops of his friends. And when we have inquired him about the dinner, he indicated the most expensive restaurant in which we have been totally alone

Nice view, convenient for medina.
Like most riads in the medina, this was not easy to find without help. However, Moroccans in the medinas are very helpful, and are willing to go out of their way to help you find something. This hotel is close to the blue gate, a very well known landmark entrance to the medina, and has several black signs designed to help you find it. We liked the hotel, but it is a little smaller than most riads. The central garden is largely potted plants. The sunset view from the rooftop was excellent.

Rooms are a little run down
The location in the medina for this riad is really good. It is just off of one of the two main streets in the Fes medina. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we were welcomed properly. We got our first email from the hotel shortly after booking online, and the hotel owner wanted to ensure that we were able to find the hotel once we got off the airplane. He even went so far as to confirm that we would like to have a taxi pick us up from the airport and deliver us to the medina where a staff member took us the rest of the way to the hotel. The breakfast was top-notch, and they served us the best mint tea we had during our entire Moroccan vacation. The negatives are that the rooms were a little run-down, and we were on the fifth floor with no elevator. There was a terrace with a good view of Fes, but the Fes medina really isn't that pretty.

Great Riad in the medina
I've stayed in many Riads, in the medina of different Moroccan cities and if there's one thing positive about this place, it's its location, if staying in the medina is what you want. The hotel is located less than 5 minute walk from the "blue door"(entry to the medina) as well as the taxi stand. Very useful so you don't have too far to go to find your way. Also, the Riad were nice enough to have someone wait for us at the entry of the medina so we wouldn't get lost in the medina finding the place. The riad is charming with a spectacular view of FES on its rooftop. Beds were comfortable a and room was clean. Included breakfast was one of the best we've had - it included eggs, bread, cheese... Etc. we had to leave early on our last day and they gave us a snack to-go instead pf breakfadt, (cookies, muffins and yogurt). The staff were nice. The Old man that takes care of the place at night was nice. The two brothers who run the place during the day were nice and helpful. They made reservations for us to get an official guide of the medina. As per most of morocco, credit cards are not accepted - but you don't have to pay right away when you get in. Ps: bring a guidebook or get a map of the city elsewhere. The hotel did not have a map to give us.

A gem of a place for those braving the Medina
A little haven in an otherwise noisy, hectic medina. Our room had a bathtub (rare in riads!) and the AC worked perfectly. Plenty of hot water. The evening staff (Ali) was very kind and accomodating - always ready to make a pot of delicious Moroccan tea. Would stay here again without question. Others may find it too noisy at night, although we were there during Ramadan when lots of late night activity is commonplace.

Beautiful riad with great staff
This riad is located in a great location and, the riad itself, is was quite calm and peaceful. The riad staff arranged a tour guide for us so that we could better navigate the many streets which was wonderful. It was a bit of a shift coming from our hotels in Europe but overall it was an amazing stay.
