Great location, friendly, clean
Service was fantastic, clean, room was ideal for a solo trip. Enough room to store luggage. Plenty of amenities in the room
If you’ve forgotten anything.
Ideally located for Shinkansen at a 5 minute walk if you come out of the central exit.

It was an impromptu reservation but the price and high reviews were a great help while looking for a place to crash as close as possible for my shinkanzen. The hotel appears to be recently renovated and has a stylish interior. Rooms are nice and the bathroom seemed nice condition as well. I was mainly in my room the entire time due to heat exhaustion and travel anxiety, but it was comfortable. The staff were also super kind and very approachable. It was also very quiet in my room, so it was greatly appreciated that other guests were hard to hear if at all.
Highly recommend

It is right up against the shore with a wonderful view from the very good restaurant. The public baths are clean and very nice. It would be nice to have a live person behind the counter at registration, although the animated dinosaurs were a novel experience

Easy Metro Access
Very close to Shin Osaka station. So, easy Metro (Midosuji Line) access, plus the station has many eating options. Even though railways and expressway are close, and the hotel is under an Itami flight path, noise was not bad. I left Do Not Disturb on my door. Oddly, housekeeping left me a bag of clean towels, tissue, tea, etc. on my door each day.

New Osaka is a very basic hotel. One of the unfortunate aspects is that the entrance has only one escalator going up, but if you happen to enter the back entrance, you need to carry your suitcase up the stairs bc that escalator only goes down. We stayed there at the beginning and end of our trip and had two different rooms. Our end of trip room was larger but we noticed there was no hand soap. We only stayed at this hotel bc we were traveling from and to Shin-Osaka Station.

New Osaka is a very basic hotel. I found some things quite unusual - no hand soap at sink, escalators go only one way so when checking out, you need to take the escalator going down and take a longer route to the train station, no ice machine so you need to go to a nearby 7-11. Japanese and western breakfast sets were good, but you have to decide upon check in.

I love this place. It's my home away from home whenever I'm in Osaka. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they replaced their outstanding breakfast buffet with a somewhat disappointing set breakfast. I miss all the options they had before and the ability to choose food that avoids my dietary restrictions.

Great hotel to stay the night if youre jumping from city to city. I have travelled from west of Japan, and heading to the east and northern Japan. This hotel was a great place to stop over and refresh. Its near the shin osaka station. Has lots of dining options. Got a good nights sleep and continued on my journey.

The rooms are a bit small and the beds are a bit firm but you can't beat the location! It's a 5 minute walk from the Shin-Osaka train station with quick access to the entire array of Osaka's trains subways and buses.

The property is about a 3 minute walk from the station. Room has a safe. The only thing that was t as good as the other hotels was that it was extremely small. So small we couldn’t open our suitcases anywhere - and we only had carry on bags. It was really noisy as it’s right by the tracks. Breakfast was good. Air conditioner didn’t really work well. The room was extremely hot. The station was awesome and full of unique foods. This is the second time I’ve stayed here. We thought the room would be bigger this time. It wasn’t. Unfortunately this is the reason I wouldn’t be able to stay again. If I bring any bigger luggage, I can’t even open it.
Let’s start with the good. UNBELIEVABLY convenient to Shin-Osaka station. You can get to the Morimachi line in a couple of minutes. It’s literally steps outside the door. The Shinkansen and JR lines are a little further but still very, very close.
The hotel itself is a little old and shabby. The lobby is nice but my room felt quite old. The bed was a coil spring and I could feel the springs under me. I wouldn’t want to sleep on that for a long stretch.
The escalator is an issue though. The lobby is on the second floor. From either entrance there is one escalator. They reverse the direction depending on the trend in traffic revolving around check in and check out time. If you catch it wrong you’re stair carrying your luggage up or down a pretty sizeable set of stairs. If you’re mobility impaired you also probably don’t want to stay here as there’s no elevator to street level.
