The hotel location (what a view from my 6th floor room!), grounds and design were absolutely beautiful. But what really put The Resident over the top was the staff! Exceptionally welcoming staff, every eve there were complimentary drinks where staff made such an effort to make people feel wekcome and ask about their day. Nothing was too much and the room, although on the small side, had everything I needed including a small fridge, and kitchenette. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic stay...100% recommended

Fantastic stay, no complaints at all. Building itself is lovely and the rooms very comfortable. If you're as lucky as we were to get a room on the top floor at the front of the building you will also get some amazing views up over the firth of forth. Staff were excellent as well, every single one of them couldn't do enough for us and are well deserving of praise. Would definitely recommend this place and would be more than happy to stay there again on my next visit to Edinburgh
