Beautiful property surrounded by lush greenery and tropical foliage, with an amazing view of the volcano. The staff were helpful, responsive, and easy to reach throughout our stay. The location was also very convenient, just a short drive from the main town. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend staying here.

We chose Costa Rica as a destination to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. La Fortuna was our first stop in a 3 week itinerary. We had 4 nights at Fortuna Retreat. We could not have asked for more! It was perfecto. The accomodation was exceptional - we were allocated room C4 which was immaculate and had the most spectacular view of Arenal Volcano. The staff were phenomenal, nothing was too much trouble. It genuinely felt as though they derived pleasure from our happiness. We’ve now been to 5 other properties in Costa Rica and it’s still our favourite one.

Beautiful property right near the Arenal volcano with amazing views from the room. Everything was beautifully decorated and very clean. Loved the swim out pool. It is very hot in Costa Rica. Location is very close to most excursions.

Fortuna Retreat is a beautiful boutique hotel – we were greeted when we arrived and shown around the property. Our room was very nice with a spectacular view of Arenal Volcano. The grounds were amazing, lush and verdant. The breakfast was at a nearby (short walk) restaurant and was delicious. We were extremely pleased with our stay and highly recommend this place.

8/10 Very good

We had a great stay at Fortuna Retreat. Only notes would be that the room could be a bit cleaner (in the corners of the bathroom, behind furniture) and the view from the ground floor rooms is not as advertised- you can’t get a clear view of the volcano. Otherwise the staff were amazing, the pool was lovely and the grounds were extremely well kept with beautiful greenery.

Wonderful hotel off the beaten track to unwind and view the volcano. Lush landscaping created privacy and brought nature "inside". The bathroom was amazing! The staff were awesome and had great recommendations. They were very helpful setting up a tour.

Very nice place to stay in La Fortuna, supermarket, restaurants in walking distance, friendly staff, beautiful rooms with direct view to the volcano, the breakfast is served in a place nearby where you have a very simple breakfast but you can observe the birds during your breakfast, worth to go
