Breakfast
The only complaint, I have about this hotel is the hours for breakfast. They stop serving breakfast at 09:00am, while most hotels continue to serve breakfast until 11:00 am.

Elevators stinks like urine
Both elevators smelled like urine to me, so I’m not staying there tonight. I am at a Marriot in Edmonton which is much better. House keeping couldn’t replenish toilet paper/kleenex during the 2 night stay. I left the box on the sink counter for them to notice. They only discarded the box, didn’t put a new one. Old one had 2 sheets in it. The bed was very comfortable though, the room was good. No complaints on the room

Low budget motel and manager didn’t care
Toilet handle broke, lid needed to be taken off and chain pulled manually to flush No Global Edmonton Chanel No accurate TV guide Remote needed batteries Door lock sticks and door would not lock, unknown to the guest unless you double check the actual handle Hot Water ern smells and tastes like coffee Hotel in general HOT. Therefore you have to run AC than smells like mold/musty smell Hallway continuously smelt like marijuana day and night.

Upon my arrival at midnite, the hotel clerk made an error checking me in which caused about an hour delay in getting to sleep. The bathroom floor wasn't clean and when we turned on the heat, the smell coming from the heater nearly drove us out of the room. The next morning the front desk wasn't very sympathetic. I think we should have been compensated for our troubles. We probably won't stay at a Hampton again.

Rooms were not cleaned well upon arrival. Wasn’t sure bedding was changed as there were lots of wrinkles in it. Bathroom had mold. Pool not working. Staff took too long to keep breakfast food and coffee full. Over priced for what you get. I’d be hard pressed to stay at this location again.

2/10 Poor

Arrived to the hotel at 1515 and was told it would be half an hour before we could check in. We had a wedding to go to at 1630 and needed to get ready. I went and got ready in the public bathroom. They finally had a different room ready for us just before 1600. We had barely five mins in the room before we needed to get going to the wedding. We get up to the room and it’s a double. I had paid for a king room. So we got downgraded and told that we could take it or leave it. I prepaid so there was no possible way that we could leave and go find a different hotel where we would be treated with more respect and professionalism.

Entire building was disgusting. Dirt and dust everywhere the hall ways were gross and the room was rotten. Stains and hairs on the bed sheets dust everywhere soap scum in the tub and tap. Overhead staff talking about multiple complaints of the buildings cleanliness. 10/10 would not recommend.

2/10 Poor

1) arrived at 2:20pm and asked for early check in, they said no because the room was still being cleaned (another party wanted to check in and was told the same thing). No problem I understand, but then at exactly 3pm they said the room was ready. 2) the room smelled strongly of Febreeze, making us wonder if the room had been cleaned thoroughly. 3) the beds were made up differently, making me wonder if they had been changed or made properly. 4) there were gobs of white stuff in the sink… 5) there were only 3 large towels in the bathroom even though we booked for 4 people. 6) the continental breakfast was a disappointment, my family came down at 8am to eat and there was almost nothing to eat and even the coffee was empty. 7) went up to make coffee in the room instead and this is what prompted the entire bad review….the coffee pot had remains of a previously brewed coffee that had gone moldy, as in hairy green floating gross coffee!!! 8) went to check out and waited 5 minutes before someone came to the counter. 9) Expedia and hotel receipt matches, but there is $50 more in the total that is pending charge on my credit card. **also found it odd that there were no USB charging outlets in the room, most people don’t carry charging blocks for their phones anymore. I’d like to say that I am a pretty understanding person, but when you look at our entire experience, I will definitely not be staying at this hotel ever again and would appreciate a partial refund. Thank you, Sherry

Review of Hampton Inn by Hilton Fort Saskatchewan
We chose the Hampton Inn by Hilton Fort Saskatchewan primarily for its pet-friendly policy, as we were traveling with our Service Dog. Upon arrival, however, we faced an unexpected challenge. The front desk informed us that their policy restricted Service Dogs over 75 pounds, which was surprising to us since we have traveled extensively with our dog without encountering this issue at other hotels or spas. At 7 PM, we were left uncertain about our next steps, as we had no other accommodations arranged. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the staff member returned and graciously allowed us to check in, but advised us to keep this weight limit in mind for future visits. While we appreciated the eventual resolution, the initial experience was quite stressful. It’s important for hotels to have clear and consistent policies regarding Service Dogs, and our experience highlighted a significant gap in communication. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable, but I recommend that future guests verify their Service Dog policies in advance to avoid similar situations.

NOT recommended
Coffee was not 24/7, only available from 5am-8pm. Elevator had a funky smell. No functional AC. Let me elaborate: Arriving in the room, it was at 23 Celsius. So we adjusted the temp to 20. Unloaded our stuff and got ready for bed. Opened one of the drawers and a few pieces of clothing were left behind. We called them and they picked up the items. An hour into this room and it was still very hot. Mind you this was past midnight now. So we called them about it and they told us to move to another room. Packked up all of oir stuff again and moved everything. Got to the room, temp was at 21 and was way cooler. The next day we left the AC running hoping to come back to a cool room. When we got back, the room temp was at 24. I called the reception and the only solution was to move rooms. I was given the explanation that their AC could not handle the heat. I was advised to wait 2-3 more hours and that it should cool down. It was late and we were tired. No one wants to keep moving evey single night. So we stayed and endured the hot hotel room. And this room was not exempt of clothing left behind in the drawer either. So cleanliness is really questionable. And breakfast time was only 3hours; 6-9am. First time I've heard of it that short. So no, I would not recommend anyone staying at this place. Staff were friendly enough and accommodating. But it doesn't compensate at all for the discomfort and inconvenience they brought us.

Pool in the hotel was closed. I did not find out about the closure until I wanted to swim and was directed to a neighboring hotel pool.
