More like a hostal
Only one harassed member of staff (the owner is rarely there) and she leaves at 6 pm so the building is unstaffed. Industrial grubby carpet and 9something I have never seen before0 the wallpaper was held up by sticky tape - who on earth thought that would make tatty wall coverings look better? Extremely noisy & generally extremely shabby. Plus points, great location, good cotton sheets, decent breakfast. If you are young & here for a stag weekend, its perfect

Hotel on edge of town
Excellent receptionist who was very friendly and helpful. Superb position within the city, close to everything that matters, unbelievably comfortable bed. Rather noisy outside at night but obviously hotel can't do anything about that

CENTRAL LOCATION
Hotel is well sited for easy walking access to the city centre and river bank, foot tunnel to West Bank just outside front door. Room was comfortable and warm and clean.

2/10 Poor

the worste hotel I ever visited.
I will start with 8 points: when I arrived the recption was not occupeid for more than halve an hour: - 1 point and no sorray later (it was my fault coming soon at 13:15 h.). -1 there was no lift: -1 regulär Breacfastbuffet has some hot sausiges and eggs, but not Scheldezicht: - 2 The staircase was norrow, very steep and dangerous. -1 The cleaning-women did not clean the Bathroom. - 2 Rest only Th internal isolation against rumour was not existent, you coud hear the people walking in thier room and understaand what hey talked in the staircase. -1 It is the worst hotel I ever paid for.

Traditional, clean hotel in awesome location.
It's a great budget hotel in a very traditional setting- no elevator, shared toilet with 2 other rooms (private sink/shower in room though), great spiral staircase! There's no frills here, but I liked the authentic, more personal European experience. The location is great - very close to Grote Markt and the Saint Anna tunnel that takes you under the Scheldt river.

2/10 Poor

Poor accomodation
We stay in Antwerp every year and this year the hotel was great for location but very poor accommodation. We had ordered a double bed with ensuite but got a twin bedded room with shared toilet on landing. The receptionist informed us this was a website mistake that has been corrected now. She had no other rooms to offer us. Room very poor and no light bulbs in overhead fixing , had to ask for a light bulb for lamp.Plug sockets were coming off the wall and cold tap in sink did not switch on. Will not recommend or visit again.Shame really as a lovely building that could be made nice with money and restoring.

Great value for money
Great value for money - free wifi and breakfast. Be aware that the toilet is shared with 2 other rooms (but each room has a shower and sink).

Near city center
Good location to city center. Hotel looks very old. Free parking near by the river. Good breakfast which was included in the price.

Convenient to city centre
Found the hotel to be very run down and in desperate need of tender loving care. Re painting would do for a start.

DID NOT STAY
We did not stay. There was no toilet in the rooms. You had to share with two other rooms. Hard to find a parking place, noisy and very out of date. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

Great hotel for Central Antwerp with free parking
If you want a "no frills" hotel in Central Antwetp with free parking then this is a good place to stay. 5 minute walk to the Old Town. Ok breakfast included. Clean enough, although a little bit worn and showing its age. Shower a bit weak. Overall though, I would stay here again if I needed to visit Antwerp.

Good location for a short stay
Booked a triple room, unfortunately this was on the top floor, up 4 steep flights of stairs. These would be difficult to negotiate if you were either infirm or elderly. Be aware that the WC is separate to the room which had a shower. Breakfast selection was reasonable, the highlight being a fresh coffee espresso maker. Parking is free in a 'car park' about 400 yds away down the main road. Overall, decent value for the money & good location for a short stay.

Large rooms on a cute square
An older hotel but great for the price, it had massive rooms and is on a beautiful square close to the Grote Markt.

Surprisingly Excellent
Very pleasant and friendly welcome. Rooms are really airy, beautifully clean and exceptionally comfortable beds. Some of the décor may be a bit jaded but this is brilliant value and I will definitely book here again. A few minutes walk to beautiful square and then onto the night-spots.

A no star hotel
This hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed in. There is no way that it is a two star hotel. The bathrooms are down the hall. The shower is right next to the bed. The overhead light was a chandelier with only two bulbs working. The night lamp had no bulb at all. The stairs and outside are desperately in need of paint. The dining area also needs refurbishing. The photos I no way reprint reality. When I asked for a room with a toilet, I was told one would be available the next day. The next day I was told no this was not possible. I decided it was better to forfeit two nights payment than to stay another night.

perfecto
i really liked the room in the attic, it was super cozy and quiet and peaceful. the location was perfect, about a quarter block from all the walking streets and near the water. i drank like 4 coffees at the free breakfast, ate a little bread and cheese, and the wireless was speedy enough for me to get all the work done i needed to easily even in the attic room. i would happily stay here again anytime.

Easy access to everywhere within the city centre
Really relaxed, laid back style. Not ideal for older people as there is no lift. The rooms are clean and have an old fashioned charm. The hotel is ideally situated for the city centre and has a number of bars within the square, which have a buzz about them. I will definitely be using this hotel again when I return to Antwerp.
