I flew into Confins in the evening and was traveling to Lavras early the next day. Hence, I needed a hotel close enough to Confins, close to the main roads around Belo Horizonte, and away from the rush hour traffic in the city center. This hotel fit the bill -- 34 km from Confins, close to BR-262, and about 6.4 km from the center. The suite was large with a nice living room, kitchen, small bathroom, and bedroom. The bedroom was quite small with barely enough room to walk around between two twin beds and to access the built in closets. Also, there were no outlets to charge my phone, iPad, laptop in the bedroom so I had to leave these in the living room and kitchen for charging overnight.
The hotel restaurant was open until 11 pm in the evenings...convenient for business travelers who arrive late at night. While I received the food I ordered through room service in a timely manner, the quality of the food was so-so. It was too salty. Breakfast was okay...they offered the usual items that most other hotels in Brazil do. There was nothing notable about breakfast.
Check-in and check-out were a breeze, though. The hotel staff spoke some English and easily accommodate requests for taxis.
