We showed up to check into the hotel after driving for 5hrs for the front desk agent to say, oh, we cancelled your reservation because we were overbooked. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. This was a reservation that I made in May, MAY, 4 months prior to the stay. They said they tried to contact us, NO RECORD of that call. The paper that the manager left for us said we were emailed, NO RECORD of this email. This is terrible service. The real story is that the visiting college’s football and volleyball team was staying there. Tin the 20 mins that I was there they were the obnoxious. They had taken over the lobby for what I’d describe as a backwoods ho-down. Terrible Terrible Terrible Terrible. We’ve stayed there probably 3 or 4 times in the last year. The front desk associate was delightful and aplogetic. She called HOLIDAY INN Who had a room. We arrived there to learn it was for one night - not two. After calling Hilton - we were booked in a hotel one hour from where we needed to be. They gave us point which were supposedly applied to our invoice for NO NO NO. Even after I specifically asked if the points were applied and explained the story. Again, TERrIBLE TERRIBLE Hilton - an absolute embarrassment to yourself
