I made a reservation online, but was told at check-in that rooms were overbooked. I would have to wait while the staff cleaned up one the rooms if I wanted to stay. It was late at night, so I asked for a refund instead. The staff told me she would call the site I made the reservation through for a refund, and left my phone number to be contaced in case something came up. I patiently waited for the refund, but almost 2 weeks later, I had not seen the refund. I called back Candlewood Suites to inquire about it, and was told I needed call back when another staff came in later that day that could access third party booking sites. I called back later, but to my disappointment, was told that I would have to call the site myself. It was upsetting to hear that nothing had been done by the hotel staff and I was also not contacted by them that I would need to make the call myself.
My experience with the hotel and staff were terrible and I have never encountered anything like this in all of my hotel stays. First, I was told no rooms were available, then I was told different things by different staff about getting my refund. The ways that things were handled were unorganized, unprofessional, and nothing that someone should have experienced. I would never book a stay here again and would not recommend to anyone else.
