We stayed here two nights, mid week, which means the shops, eatery and basically all activities are closed. The upside to that is that you get the grounds to yourself, there's still LOADS to do for adults and kids. My two teens were out there for hours exploring and playing in the grounds.
The room (commanders quarters) was small as expected, but roomy enough for a family of 5 to stay comfortably.
The only downfall was the lack of kitchen space and cooking amenities. We had to use a cup to fill the kettle, and dishes had to be washed in the sink in basin.
Not a huge issue, honestly, a minor inconvenience at most, but when someone is in shower and you want a coffee.. that can be a bit annoying.
Other than that, the fact there was nowhere available to cook hot food other than a microwave was also midlt annoying.
We had planned to order food to be delivered upon our arrival but thought we'd wait to make sure there was a stove or BBQs, thankfully we didn't. We did however spend 30 mins in front of a microwave heating up 5 frozen meals for tea lol
Overall we loved our stay, the staff were more than helpful, we had loads of space to ourselves during the week, we were not at all bored during our time there. we are already planning to come back during the busy season, to see what the other side of Kryal is all about. We will be prepared next time!
