The breakfasts were delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

A beautiful property with lovely garden. Our room was very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast generous, including a variety of fresh fruit, staff friendly. We walked to the Botanical gardens easily and Ventnor is very close, walkable too. Parking on site and outside. Would definitely recommend.

Great location with a warm welcome
St Maur was a delight to stay at. A very warm and professional welcome by the owner David. The rooms and bathrooms were extremely large and well equipped including a fridge and good amenities. Located in lovely gardens in a very peaceful and quiet location looking out towards the sea.
Breakfast was excellent and all the staff could not have done more to make our stay any better.

Nice place
We had a great stay at St. Maur. Very cozy Victorian hotel with large and clean rooms, which sits on the hill, overlooking Ventnor and the ocean. A beautiful garden in front of the building. Check-in and check-out very simple. The owner is very responsive to requests. The parking is limited in front of the hotel, however lots of space for street parking. Lots of options for breakfast.

Traditional comfortable small hotel, nice location
St Maur is a spendid Victorian villa with lovely gardens and views, now run as an 8-room guest house. We stayed for 3 nights B&B in the 2nd floor family room, which was comfortable and just about big enough for 4 of us. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent. We enjoyed our evening walks to Ventnor, with the main beach, Ventnor Park, the Botanic Gardens and Steephill Cove easily walkable.

Really nice B&B - a bit old fashioned but nothing wrong with that! A short distance from the centre of Ventnor - but a pleasant walk.

St Maur hotel was in the ideal location in Ventnor. Located behind the renowned Royal Hotel and close to the beach, only a ten minute walk away. The St Maur hotel was good value for money and the breakfast was very good too. The hotel was close to the botanical gardens spanning over twenty acres with trees and plant life from all continents. The plants here would not survive on the mainland due to the colder winter months and frost. I would say that Ventnor is an Isle of Wight resort for the more discerning travellor who wants to relax for a few days.

Good for cyclists!
Very pleasant stay for one night - the bonus was a bath, which was needed after a hard days cycling. Room was quiet and comfortable, with good tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was very nice (no vegetarian substitutes for the sausage and bacon though). Would stay again.
