Horrible staff!! Extremely rude and unprofessional. Check in took forever! No one was at the entrance when we arrived for a solid 30 minutes. When the receptionist arrived, he didn’t care and seemed extremely short and unapologetic. The location and room were decent but the walls and street noise were unbearable. Will not be coming back.

I had a very comfortable and spacious room with two beds. The price was reasonable, and I didn't mind the shared bathroom. It's worth noting that the rooms in the front of the building can be a tad noisy with traffic from the street, but it wasn't too bad. My biggest concern was that the internet seemed slow and unreliable, constantly cutting out on both of my phones and my laptop, so I had to go to a co-working space down the block in order to get any work done.

A great hostel for the price in a perfect area. Footsteps from the subway and waking distance to most major attractions. I was surprised they even made up my room during the day. Disappointed no soap or cups provided in the room and the air conditioning could not be controlled by me in my room even though I was in a private room. I spent two nights at Safestay. I arrived at about 2 am and was glad that they still let me check into my room. The man that I checked in with was thorough. Checking out, however, there was a very rude employee. Luckily, I was saved by another person working at the front desk.
