Poor English. Needed wechat to pay for everything. Should not charge money for the sports center or kids area for hotel guests. Needed head caps to swim. Had to pay for buffet during the meal and would not let us charge it to the room until we spoke to a manager and had to add another deposit to the room. But then next day we had to explain again to the restaurant and the concierge who arranged our taxi that we can now charge things to our room. Must arrange a taxi 12-24H in advance! Cantonese restaurant a short walk was delicious! But getting a taxi from there for our guests took one hour due to poor communication (and one of our guests even spoke Cantonese!). When we ordered Cokes with ice via room service (only because we could not get any from the vending machine which only accepted wechat payment) they brought 4 glasses of ice without Cokes! We informed them we wanted the Coke also and they came back 10 min later and wanted us to pay them right then but we had to explain (again) we can charge it to our room. Mr. John at the front desk was very nice, most helpful and best English. Ask for him. Also get Didi, their version of Uber. The cool looking golf carts can only be driven by certain people and if they’re not there when you need to go you’re out of luck! Finding a taxi can take a very long time. Chess room had no chess, just beds. Poor pet deer in cage on concrete but no grass and smell like urine, sad!
