The place is located very near to the beach. Room size is decent. The restaurant staff were very friendly. Could do better with the front desk staff. Can have better WiFi at room it was fine at the dining area

Pool, breakfast with a view, and AMAZING staff!
What a pleasant surprise! We enjoyed HSB so much that we came back for an extra night at the end of our trip. No frills, but steps from the beach with a beautiful pool, fantastic kitchen, and the BEST service in the bar/restaurant. This will be a go-to for us on future trips, as it was an easy ride to SJO as well.

Second time staying at Hotel South Beach. Perfect location if you want to get out an explore other areas. Not on the strip. But 10 min walk on the beach and your there. Or 15 min walk on the road. The hotel is in good shape and the rooms are clean. The staff are the best part. As they are friendly, informative and just good people. Will stay again.

This is a gem in South Beach, the best beach in Jaco. I really enjoyed the resort-like atmosphere. Staff is friendly, attentive and professional. This was better than my expectations but I love Pura Vida already.

Such a beautiful place! We didn't want to leave!
Beauty every where you look. Easy access to downtown. It was fun to watch the surfers and play in the water. Everyone was friendly, the pool was sparkling clean, and the food was great!

A bit outdated hotel right on a beach. Every member of the staff is very helpful, nice and friendly. Easy 15 minutes of walking distance to Jaco. Beach is beautiful but ideal for surfers not so much to swim. Wildlife is around. Great location. Planning to comeback. P.S. I would only suggest to work on breakfast menu ( same two options all the time) and menu in general.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Pool right outside our room with the beach within 50 feet. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Lunch and supper options were delicious and it was within walking distance to other meal options and shopping. We would stay again
