Location is perfect, especially if you have children!
Parking is across the street.
The building is beautiful with its high ceilings.
The rooms are large and quiet.
The bathroom large with a proper tub. Closet space is adequate for a family.
Beds are EU-standard size and not the tiny French queen beds they usually try to pass on as doubles. The foldout bed/couch is a double too.
The kitchenette might be small but it actually has everything you could need need, even a dishwasher, microwave with grill and a freezer. But do run your dishwasher when you’re out: it’s quite noisy.
But the rooms are quiet!! You don’t hear anything from the hallway, adjacent rooms or from the street.
Staff is kind and helpful.
The only downside (I’m being picky now because we were so pleasantly surprised) would be the curtains. Although blackout, the window treatments let light pass on the sides so if you are sensitive to this, make sure to bring a face mask. The sun almost always shines in Nîmes!
We regret not having planned to stay longer but we will definitely be back ASAP.
