Overbooked, could not stay & manager was rude
I cannot really speak about the hotel itself because I never stayed there, even though I booked and paid for the room. The owner apparently does not inform hotels.com or other websites that there are no more rooms available, sells them multiple times and then blames 'the Internet' when lots of angry customers pile up at the reception. I had to walk to other hotels at night, tired and pushing my luggage to see if any other hotel had availability and would take me with the vague promise that Triste hotel would reimburse them for the night. The owner of Trieste was not even making calls or seemed willing to assist. He said we (me and other angry people in the same situation as me) were bothering him, not letting him sleep. And other things in broken Italian that I could not understand, but which didn't sound kind at all. This hotel looks shady to say the least. Terrible experience. My advice is do not try to stay here!
