Under renovation.
The UP Motor Lodge is currently being renovated (6/2019). Some of the rooms are not done yet. Mine was complete and in great condition. It is an older motel that is being renovated. The inside of my room was completely redone. New drywall, carpet, furniture, and fresh new bathroom. I was concerned when I drove up because if was still under renovation but was very happy with my room. If your looking for a basic motel at a good price, consider this location.

Location was great as we were travelling. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was recently remodeled. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Internet worked great. Parking was included. Definitely will stay again next time we are traveling.

Simple nice place.
If your looking for just a place to sleep that's nice and clean, this place is nice! The owner is working hard updating and remodeling all the rooms and the outside. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated. We did have a small issue with the door not latching but they gladly fixed it for us. We would definitely stay again!

Nice mom-n-pop motel
We stayed here to attend a wedding at a farm nearby. When we checked in, the owner was very friendly and easygoing. Same thing when we checked out, he genuinely thanked us for staying there. Our room was tidy and recently updated. It was nice for a roadside motel. There was a small fridge (and maybe a microwave?) which is a handy amenity. The only downside was some noise from the nearby road, but nothing out of the ordinary for a roadside motel. Didn't prevent us from getting a good night's sleep, but if you're sensitive to noise, you might request a room that's farther from the road.

Great little motel near enough to Marquette. Friendly staff who seemed helpful and welcoming. Room was big enough with comfortable bed and very nicely re-done bathroom. We had a nice overnight stay to watch NMU women's ice hockey games. Would definitely stay here again!
