We love this very charming, cozy Inn.
My wife and I stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary, and it was perfect. We stayed in the Captain's Room with a King bed. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. We loved it! Very charming place. Innkeeper Rhiannon does a great job of making you feel right at home. In the morning she left a basket of baked goodies outside our door for breakfast. Delicious. Plus, there was an assortment of items in the refrigerator for the taking. More than enough food for breakfast. The location is ideal. It's a short walk to the center of town, but it's not on a busy street. The only problem was the bell across the street that would ring every hour on the hour throughout the night. But that's not Rhiannon's fault. We highly recommend the Iron Horse Inn and hope to stay here again.

I loved the historic charm, and how close the shops, boutiques and tastings were! The continental breakfast was just OK, but I not a deal breaker.

Terrific Host and Area
Host and the locale are terrific. The room, continental breakfast, and bed we're also very good. Only negative I have is the wall between the Sweet Dreams room that we were in and the adjoining room is very thin so you could hear conversations between the rooms.

Absolutely amazing
Absolutely amazing! Check in isn't until 4 so our room wasn't ready yet but the lady was so kind, let us do the paper work, get the keys and put our belongings into the room. We returned after the wine tour to our perfect room! Stocked with coffee, creamer, sodas, shampoos, bathrobes, juice, milk, apples oranges, seriously EVERYTHING u may need or want! The room was quite clean on beyond comfy! Wonderful little deck where we sat and enjoyed our breakfast basket filled with muffins, scones and bananas! I truly can't say enough good things about our stay it was more than expected and perfectly perfect! Sorry the pictures were taken as we were leaving. Thank you iron Horse for an amazing mother daughter get away!

Get away
Our room was very nice and I loved the history of the house. Our in keeper was very helpful and a real sweet lady. This was our first time at a B&B and we loved it!!!

Uncomfortable
The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the breakfast was sub par (some of the orange juice left in the fridge for us was half used by the previous guest), and the shower was terrible (dangerous to get in and out of and no water pressure). The host was nice and helpful, but because of the things mentioned above, I would not stay there again or recommend.

Ok For B&B
Made our first trip to Hermann recently. First off, very nice little town. German flavor. Good restaurants and stores. With regards to Iron Horse, we were a bit disappointed. The positives were that Rhiannon was very nice. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The disappointing items were as follows: - Too much furniture in such a small room. - It was cool at night and we could not regulate the heat. Either too hot or too cold. - No hot breakfast (Muffins and pastries were nice but...) - There is a stinking Clock Bell that chimes outside every hour on the hour ALL NIGHT!! I realize this is not a Iron Horse issue but definitely something you should be aware of. We were not. Overall, a nice, clean place to stay at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, if we were to visit Hermann again, we will likely do more research and stay in a different location.

Great location, close food shops
We had a great two night stay at the inn. Bed was comfy and furnishings beautiful. Outdoor seating was nice. We drank afternoon coffee outside. Close to shopping and great eateries

Room with balcony
Great small bed and breakfast. Nice room in a central location, it had a balcony overlooking the back yard. Nice place to eat your breakfast or have a glass of the local wine. Great location to walk around the town.

Cute and quaint
The Iron Horse B&B was a very cute and quaint little place. We were only there for one night but we really enjoyed it and the breakfast was nice with little pastries from a local bakery and juices/coffee. I would recommend them to anyone.
