Great location, but a little loud
The location could not have been any better! It's maybe a one minute walk to the ski lift! The bathroom appears to be newly remodeled. The room itself wasn't anything too impressive. The beds were okay. Definitely not plush, but they served there purpose. I will say that the walls are thin. You can hear your neighbors and the people above you. It also seemed as if the shutters on another room weren't latched properly. They were banging with the wind ALL NIGHT LONG. The hallway light is on a motion sensor which is nice, however when you are laying in bed at midnight and someone tramps through the hallway setting off the motion sensor the light floods into your room from under the door. It was so bright that you didn't need to turn on a light to go to the bathroom or anything. In regards to light again....the curtains are rather thin. You can perfectly see the moon through them as well as the lights of the snow cats that are grooming the ski runs at night. All in all, it was a warm room with decent beds and hot water. It's definitely a budget place. As long as you are a heavy sleeper (or just purely exhausted from skiing all day) you should be fine. Would I recommend it? Yep. Great location Serves its purpose. Cost effective.

Surreal
Surreal would be the best word to describe our experience. In the days before arrival, I received 7 emails in Chinese from the hotel via Expedia asking for my payment details despite these being confirmed by Hotels.com online and on the telephone. I was not going to send them the details again. On arrival, we were greeted by one of the guests who fetched the receptionist for us. She only spoke Chinese and Spanish and when my daughter spoke to her in Spanish, she just blanked her. I ended up checking in over the phone with another Chinese lady in French. Unbeknownst to us before arrival, the restaurant in the hotel was closed as it was low-season (ski resort) so we had to trek down the valley to find the only place that served food, and then we had to wait an entire hour before we could have a table. The hotel rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. However, it was a surreal experience for us.

Hotel with no staff!
We booked the hotel thinking it was near to the town of Champery, as it said the hotel was 1.8 miles away. However we did not realise this was as the crow flies and we were on the other side of the mountain. There was no one there to receive us when we arrived and had to ring the number on the door to find out where we were staying. The hotel was clean and the one member of staff that arrived eventually did her best to help but didn't have a word of English. Although there was a restaurant and bar advertised they were closed, this was not made clear. The only opportunity we had for a cup of tea was with the breakfast offering that was left outside the door of a morning. Two pieces of bread, jam and two teabags with hut milk. Ideal hotel if skiing but in the summer it should not be open if they cannot provide a better service.

A bit disappointed
The hotel sauna was locked and "they have lost the key"...so you could not use facility that we paid for! All refurbishment is cheapest possible and furniture a bit too much IKEA. Location great, food not so.

Joli cadre.
