2/10 Poor

I never stayed at the hotel, Since the hotel could not provide the service, Because of the COVID-19, however they still keep my money, with no travel credit nor return my money and no answer. Really is that the way Expedia protect its clients and the hotel’ abuse.

Cost hostal. I stayed at one of their private rooms for 3 days and it was comfortable enough. The hostal is operated by a Spanish family and they were very friendly and helpful in everything. Location is great. It’s walkable to everything. Only 5 min walk to Sol metro station which is only a few stops from the airport. Super convenient! Thank you for the warm hospitality.

Wonderfull experince.
The Lido hostel has a very appropriate location if you want to know and explore the center of Madrid, in addition to that is a nice and cozy place, Ms. Fina who is in charge of the facility is super friendly, cooperative and willing to give the best recommendations for a pleasant stay. The place is very clean, although small, it is all you need after a day of intense walk, the beds are very comfortable. There may be little outside noise during the night but it is unavoidable in the center of Madrid. Great places for breakfast, lunch and dinner just a few steps from there. In conclusion when We come back to Madrid we will return to the Lido.

Hostal Lido is like “ my Auntie ‘s house. You feel like visiting relatives not like renting. This is my second time in Lido. It’s nice clean cozy and in the center of Madrid at a walk distance from everywhere.

Clean but a tad noisy
Overall it was a decent stay. Although the street is a bit loud at night, it was tolerable. The main guy I only encountered working there didn’t speak a word of English. So not sure why their place claims to be multicultural. However, we communicated through google translate and it wasn’t too much of an issue. Beds were clean and daily cleaning service was well done. On the down side, the beds were not so great. Pretty hard and springy. And loud at night. Otherwise; located pretty well. Clean. Friendly staff. Short walk to Sol city center. One more negative and a tip to the owners. Don’t move furniture around at 9 in the morning. Or whatever noises those were. Although it was 9am and seems reasonable for people to get up, those that like to sleep longer do not want to be woken up by moving furniture. It happened every morning.

Great location, very clean and simply good condition room. Host was very kind and nice person but can not speak English. Free coffee and tea at the morning. However, it was noisy because they has a construction next building. the construction started around 7am. wifi is little bit slow.

This property is in a rather run-down area of Madrid, several blocks from Plaza Mayor. However, the staff is extremely helpful with directions to local area places and was nice to interact with, despite the language barriers. Breakfast is not included nor are there facilities for meals on property.

More accurate description needed
The stay was good. Hotels.com said there was an airport shuttle but there was no link to contact the hotel. Additionally, once the hotel was contacted (via internet searches for their email), no response.

Great Hostal
Great Hostal within walking distance of Metro, bars, restaurants and key tourist sites. Rosa manages the Hostal very well and is very helpful. We communicated easily, even with our limited Spanish. Our room was comfortable and very clean. It was great to have a small fridge in our room. We stayed for 3 nights. It felt like we were staying with family.

Good stay
The hostel is located in a good area. Air conditioning worked well. Bathroom had hot water. You were given your own key to enter and exit the hostel which I liked and is not always the case with hostels in Madrid.

Of all the hotels I booked in our Spain and Portugal trip, I enjoyed this accommodation. The hotel is very simple yet cozy. The only one with refrigerator to store our water and orange juice. Rosa is very nice and congenial.

Nice, clean, friendly, perfect location. Hey Expedia, sometimes we don't have the time to keep writing, and you ask for more words. I suggest you should take the feedback you can. I was going to quit when you ask me for more, but prefer to give you this feedback :-)
