The Royal treatment at the Artists Palace!
What a wonderful find! This was the perfect location— easy walks to all the memorable Florence sites. The staff was super gracious and helpful. They seemed pleased to offer advice and directions— even in English! Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed! We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent central location, just steps away from main attractions and choice of restaurants. Easy walk from train station. Our room overlooked courtyard and was very quiet. Beautiful view from hotel balcony. Lovely quiet bar in the old library. Quirky old property with good amenities and clean rooms.

Lovely Place to Stay
This hotel was fantastic. The AC worked so well we had to turn it off in the middle of the night as it was too cold. The room was comfortable, the bathroom shower pressure was the best we’ve had in all of Italy. It was close to lots of restaurants and incredible history within a few steps from the entrance. There were lots of street performers in the area that made for so much fun and entertainment and yet when we went to our room at night it was quiet and comfortable. This hotel was a great price as well, we will be staying here again for sure.

The entire experience was unique and wonderful from the moment we were greeted at the door. From our arrival , our entire stay was nothing short of magical. We were treated like family by Dominico and his staff, they were fabulous with such a personal touch and they were truly interested in your visit being wonderful. The view from our room looking out into the piazza at the Medici Duomo and the people below eith bells chiming and music yet a very quiet sleep at night. convenience stores right across the street restaurants dining everything accessible by foot beautiful location in the heart of Florence. I could go on and on the stuff for terrific facility itself. The rooms were clean and comfortable wonderful bathroom beautiful bed. I would definitely give it 10 and hurry back! Thanks Dominico and staff, so well done we stayed at five different places throughout her 17 day trip through Italy and this was terrific!

LOVE this hotel! I had an unbelievable view of the Medici Chapel and it overlooked the square. That made the trip so fun because my daughter and I would listen to live music playing and enjoy the activity below. The staff was very friendly and suggested excellent restaurants. Hotel Is close to everything! The room is very simple but clean. If you want an old world vibe in the heart of the city this is it.

Loved this property. Historical building but the rooms were updated and spacious. Our shower had some drainage issues but they came and fixed it. Our room opened up to the Basilica di San Lorenzo so the view out of the windows was just amazing. It does get a little noisy since it’s right by the square and the bell tower goes off from time to time, but it didn’t bother us. My husband used ear plugs. The location was super convenient. 2-5 min walk to the Duomo, 10-15 min to Ponte Vecchio, 10 min to the train station. It was a nice area. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was at a nearby bistro. Such a beautiful bistro and the food was fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again when I go back to Florence.

This is an amazing property. Was owned by a wealthy family and converted to a hotel. Has limits as is owned by the church across the road, so can't sell a breakfast. So much history in this building with an amazing library, paintings from prominent artists and lots of space. Good view of Duomo from 3rd floor Convenient to the train station to walk. Also, Florence is so walkable, this was close to everything, the Accademia and Duomo, the river and Michelangelo burial place. The rooms are sparse, but it has so much more room and high ceilings, which kept it cool in the warm weather. The bed is good, clean bathroom, in room refrigerator. It is sufficient as you are going to be out seeing the sights and and eating well. The church plaza across the road can be noisy at night. City living and so just adapt. Lastly, the staff were fantastic in helping with sightseeing and eating. The building is secure at night as only staffed 9Am-7PM at front desk. Just a different place to stay, and loved the history of sleeping in a 4 to 500 year old building.

I absolutely loved this quirky hotel. So much history and atmosphere. The bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Location is unbeatable. But if you are looking for a high end hotel experience with a bar/restaurant, gym, spa, room service etc. then the Artist’s Palace is not for you.
