Propert grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Staff is helpful and the resturant is very good comparing to other resturants in Tanzania. Property is old. Rooms and bathrooms are very dated. Ameg is beautifully landscaped. My room was spacious and well-appointed. The sidewalks were being re-done, which made walking in the muddy grass challenging for me. The staff repeated met me as I walked to the dining room to ensure I was safe. The food in the dining room was really good - I especially liked the lemon pepper chicken! I will stay at Ameg in any future visits to Moshi.

What a fantastic place to stay!! This oasis has the most wonderful people working here - so kind and courteous!!! The bungalows are lovely with French doors to the center courtyard and lots of space! There are blackouts throughout Tanzania but this hotel uses solar power so it is quiet (a rooster or two) and the outdoor dining and pool are fantastic!! I am going to miss the marsala fish and delicious roti!! Great place to relax before and after hiking Kilimanjaro - they help you store your bags, do laundry and drive you to the airport or other locations! I highly recommend this hotel!!

Silent Lodge with Charme
The area is nice with kind of bungalows in a well-maintained garden area. Pool is great, Gym is old and to be used with care. We booked the 3 days stay with breakfast, which is just very basic and each day the same, however allows a good start in the day. Room is nicely made but lacks on repairs and maintenance. We had some issues with broken kettles, power sockets and room telephone, which we addressed to reception and management, however no one cares about it during our stay. Staff is plenty however seems to forget how to smile and being friendly, it always feels like we would annoy them with any request. At the busy morning of checking-out no one was at the reception, we asked for assistance at the breakfast restaurant, however no one came. So we left in hurry to the airport just to send back our friend to settle the remaining payment. Compared to our first stay, it was clearly a downfall in service and will probably trigger that we choose another property next time.

Fremragende "lodge" hotel i udkanten af Moshi
AMEG Lodge er mit favorit hotel i Moshi, hvor jeg er kommet jævnligt de seneste 10 år. Det ligger en smule afsides med nem adgang til Moshi By. Fra hotelområdet, som er spredte "hytter" på et åbent og grønt areal, er der udsigt til Afrikas højeste bjerg, Kilimanjaro, om morgenen og sidst på eftermiddagen i store perioder af året. Betjeningen er venlig, smilende og med entusiasme og går igen fra rengøringspersonalet over betjeningen på den lokale restaurant til hotellets manager. Man fornemmer, at de arbejder som et hold, ja nærmest som en familie med fælles interesse i at gøre det bedste for gæsterne og dermed for hotellets fremtid. Dejlig svømmepøl og et udmærket fitness center kan bruges uden ekstra betaling af hotellets gæster. Maden på restauranten er udemærket og en velasorteret bar ved restauranten er et fint sted at slappe af med en øl eller andet alt efter smag og behag. Stedet kan varmt anbefales til både forretningsrejsende og børnefamilier. Eneste lille minus er tilladelse af rygning på området.

Fantastisk, god service og skønt område.
Virkelig et lækkert sted. Fantastisk mad i restauranten til gode priser, især mange muligheder hvis man er vegetar. Dejligt poolområde. Vand på værelset hver dag. Elkedel, føntørrer og kaffe/the på værelset. Der manglede virkelig ikke noget. Vil helt sikkert komme igen, hvis jeg skal til området. Det ligger lidt udenfor byen, men man kan tage en tuk tuk til omkring 10-15 kr. Faltisk er det rart ikke at skulle bo midt i centrum. Service på hotellet er helt i top, virkelig imødekommende personale. Jeg giver mine bedste anbefaling til Ameg Lodge.
