Where do I begin?
I am a seasoned traveler and retired yacht captain and all I can say is BEWARE as the place advertised on Expedia is not what is there!
First, we were given an incorrect address from Expedia, lost for hours in the Dolomites and finally had to find a hotel to overnight to avoid traveling on dark mountain roads. Expedia took many attempts to supply the actual address for the GPS and finally did so many hours into the effort.
The next day upon arrival, was disheartening, as this was our 4 week European bucket list holiday to find that the glamourous advertised mountain retreat with numerous amenities, dining, gatherings was a mere couple of cabins surrounded by an Alpaca herd and farm fencing.
The add clearly said dining available, bar, gatherings around the evening fire, etc...no such thing. The maid said we would have to cook our own food. Except we are now 25 km from a grocery and were planning on dining in their facility. Also, she explained things have changed and only cabins available...read the Expedia Listing.
It is scary that Expedia, would misrepresent and advertise such a place.
Finally the owner showed up, apologized and then we were literally on our own to locate other housing for the scheduled 5 day stay.
Expedia failed horribly with this one.
