Shabby & felt unsafe - not recommended & wouldn't stay here again.
I'm a business traveller as work in Wakefield two/three days a week, and this is probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.
I paid £45/night and was due to stay two nights, but decided to leave after one night and lose the price paid for the second night. Didn't even try to complain, as I'm sure it would be pointless.
Positives: daily housekeeping, accessible location, price reasonable, microwave & small fridge available, free all day parking (although it'd be good if they advised of that rather than mislead guests saying there's no parking).
Negatives: where to start! No soap in bathroom so had to go to a local supermarket to buy soap before I could use it, tired & shabby decor, room in 3rd floor without lift (which was interesting, given I've recently had keyhole knee surgery & had quite a bit of luggage), difficult receptionist who made me walk 30 mins to my car & back as she wouldn't check me in without ID & wouldn't budge until I threatened to write a complaint, very dodgy-looking people in the lobby & around the outside, felt unsafe in case of a fire.
