"This hotel is well situated, about 400 meters from the Katsuta station. We came to see the flowers at Hatachi Seaside Park and fee that the hotel was a good choice due to its proximity to the train station and the park. It is about 15 minutes by bus or taxi to the park. The hotel is clean and staff are incredibly helpful, as is the Japanese custom and standard in my experience anywhere in this fine country! Travelers used to Western style hotels should be aware that the pillows are quite flat,...

"The staff is very professional and friendly, always ready to help. I have stayed here on four different trips for work. The location is pretty good, walkable from the station even with heavy roller bags. The property itself is very run down, but that is reflected in the price. If you are fine with chain restaurants there are plenty of places to eat. But, if you are a foreigner (even if fluent in Japanese) you will likely have a bit of trouble eating at many of the local spots as they will refuse...

"Very convenient location a few blocks from the metro station and right in front of the education park. There’s a parking lot behind the hotel and the hotel will validate parking. Decent room size (for Japan) and good wifi "

"Great breakfast, handy laundry, nice view on the river and situated right in the centre of town. STRICT adherence to such a late 4:00 pm check-in was rather unique to this property though. No flexability and not a friendly smile shown. "

"The onsens were really great. Awesome breakfast, worth the extra cost. Moderate twin family room has 2 beds , 1.5 twin size. Not small as a twin, but not big as a double bed. Manga room massage chairs and free use space room were all great touches . The Lawson and bus stop across the street were super handy. 10 minute walk to Mito Station . Perfect for a stay in Mito! Will return! "

"Excellent modern facility made from containers. We had the 4 bedded room and it was very clean and spacious. 2 members of the family had the twin rooms and they were a bit more cramped, but overall excellent for a short stay."

"The property is huge and awesome. We took a walk around and were impressed by the opulence… certainly a class of its own !
We enjoyed the peaceful lounge where we had a drink on the house. We loved the courtyard where we had a lovely French dinner. We also had a wonderful Japanese dinner. Both the meals were of high quality and reasonably priced. Service was immaculate!
We had a 4-night stay and felt very much at home.
The room design was classic and very well kept and the amenities were of high quality too !
Staff were very helpful esp Mr Ryn…There was always someone at the hotel front to receive us warmly.
Although there were many on going private functions, we did not feel the crowd.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay !

"If you are staying more than 2 days get a rental car. The hotel is very good at what it does, which is provide a relaxing atmosphere with an accessible onsen. The restaurants there are not really restaurants. Breakfast is a buffet of plentiful food, mostly Japanese but I believe a pure westerner could survive. There is no lunch service. The dinner is a set menu of classical Japanese fare, which after the second day becomes a bit tiresome, but doable. They also offered a bonus meal at 9pm of noodles and such. There is a modest happy hour from about 3pm to 8:30 pm which provides a variety of booze and snacks. Staff speaks no English, so be prepared for that, but they are very friendly. My Japanese is passable so I was able to get assistance from the staff to get a rental car and reserve taxis, etc. There is no laundry service and if you have a tattoo you mus cover it while in the onsen. I checked at other hotels with onsens and most don't allow tattoos at all. The location is up on a little hill away from anything walking distance. There is no safe walking path of significant length around the hotel that is not on a narrow road, so don't count on any walks. There is a tennis court but other than that not any place to get cardio. But if you are coming here you are not coming for that. I am including in the description so the reader knows what is there. I would come again for sure. "
