You are surrounded by art and atmosphere
We simply like the funky art-community feeling of the place. We discovered Hotel McCoy years ago, and we always stop there on our east-west road trips. We have been recommending the real McCoy to family and friends over the years, and we hear back that they agree with us. We opt for the larger room with a kitchenette. This is not the place for a big hot steak-and-eggs breakfast, but their free DIY oatmeal breakfast is actually great. The activity and game rooms are open late, and each patron gets at lease one free cocktail or glass of wine.

Creative style
Love the retro style, how they thought it through down to the smallest details like a custom names on each parking space. Makes each stay really unique. The bar and the free drink tokens were a pleasant surprise. Beds were slightly firm for my taste but some people may love that. I would definitely come back though.

Great stop!
We loved this place! Such a cool idea and well executed. The art all around the property was awesome, the staff were all very pleasant and friendly, loved the free round of drinks at the bar, and the kids loved the oatmeal bar. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Tucson.

Loved it
So cute! Great artwork all around, friendly staff, felt very safe, and very much a curated community vibe. They have a nice little bar and areas to sit and relax in the lobby, the pool looked lovely though we didn’t swim. The bed was comfy, the room was clean. The only tiny improvements would be another lamp or light fixture in the room, and towels that are bigger and have more of a soft and clean feel (these towels were small and had a washed-a-million-times texture). I would absolutely stay here again if I am back in Tucson!

I always enjoy staying here but I bet poked a room with a kitchenette and was told one wasn’t available when I checked in, but didn’t receive a refund.

6/10 Good

Nice and unique
I arrived a little over an hour before check in time, and was not allowed to check in without paying a $25 early fee :-( When I did get to check in, the staff was fine. The room was OK, nothing special. The heater was pretty loud when it turned on. They also had a band playing Saturday night that was very loud. The bed was comfy though. And the oatmeal bar in the morning was very good.

Gem of a Hotel
Very nice, quirky hotel! Had a lot of amenities and a yummy oatmeal bar for breakfast. The front staff were always helpful and polite if I needed them for anything. The beds are comfortable and the room had everything we needed to stay comfortably for 3 nights. My complaints are that the floors were clean but you can tell only the areas visible from the door were cleaned; behind the lamp where the outlet was you could see something was spilled back there and it was on the outlet too. The sink drain could also be cleaned more thoroughly; after one minute of running water it started backing up. When I pulled up the stopper it was.... kinda gross. Even so, I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay again considering how nice everything else is.

Amazingly fun and comfortable place!
Amazing little hotel! Lots of artsy character and fun social activities. I was traveling solo and felt very safe and welcomed the entire time. I loved the cute token I was given at check in which was good for a free drink at the bar. The pool was clean looking (winter, so I didn't swim). The pinball room was really a fun touch too. I go to Tucson often and will be returning here for sure. For the room, it had a cute chalk board for guests to draw on, the water pressure was strong in the shower, and the bed was fine. I travel with my own pillow. Friendly and talkative staff. Loved it here!
