Great infrastructure, just needs better management
Nice room, very clean and spacious, and generally very quiet. We liked having the mini fridge. Buffet breakfast ok, only the layout of the serving area is very cramped and coffee queue way too long. AC in the room fixed to 23C and cannot go lower. There is no source of light on the terrace so it is difficult to use at night. The hotel advertises a heated swimming pool, one of the reasons we chose it for our stay in November, but the pool was freezing cold. I would recommend the hotel to reconsider cleaning the stairs at a more guest-friendly time - being woken up by noise at 7am on a Saturday was not pleasant. The hotel terrace at the ground floor should really be non smoking, all the smoke gets in the rooms above.

Nice location
This hotel is in the village of Cavat, which is about 20 minutes from Dubrovnik. It is a quaint village where the prices are much more reasonable than Dubrovnik. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved Hotel Cavtat. The room was clean and spacious and had a lovely view. My only complaint is having to pay for a chair at the pool. Great location, lots of great restaurants, beaches and shopping out our door

The hotel is perfectly positioned on the waterfront, on the quieter side of beautiful Cavtat. Attractive seating area outside the front of the hotel for drinks and food. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms look to have been recently restyled in a modern and clean appearance. Our room was small but comfortable and very well serviced on a daily basis. Omelettes at breakfast are a welcome option in addition to the usual hotel buffet fare. Bus stop, taxi rank & boats 5 minutes walk away. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends.

The food was awful. The staff at dinner overwhelmed and not trained. For a 4* hotel we had expected better. It lets this beautiful hotel down. Otherwise a lovely place to stay and the most convenient hotel for just about everything. Just don't book half board!

The hotel was lovely, amazing views and in a perfect position for walking everywhere in Cavtat. The rooftop pool was small but with a view to die for. Reserving sunbeds wasnt a problem and didnt bother us but the pool was freezing and would be so much more useable if heated! We decided to eat at the hotel outdoor restaurant on our first night, again with amazing views, sadly it didnt meet expectations. My husbands meal (pork) was so overcooked it was inedible. To be fair they didnt charge us for it,such a shame as it had so much potential.A big let down for us was the lack of an indoor lounge/ bar area,especially for the afternoons/eve when the weather was wet/chilly. It would have been so nice for guests to have an indoor option to sit & read, relax, chat over a y. A major issue for us was there was no indoor lounge/bar area. Some afternoons/ evenings the weather was wet or chilly and the hotel provides nowhere inside to sit and read or enjoy a few drinks/coffee. There stacked them on the only 2 small sofa's in the hotel entrance preventing anyone using them so the only option was to sit by yourself in your room with no room service or coffee as you were only given 2 sachets daily.

Hotel Cavtat is a very modern stylish hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel is in a central position and all the restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Cavtat has an attractive harbour and much quieter than Dubrovnik The pool is small and sun beds have to be reserved at reception.
