The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, very hospitable and even helped us plan our day at Acadia! The dinner was fantastic. Just a note on facilities…we stayed in the guest house that has a shared balcony with other guests…we were visiting off season and so had the beautiful balcony to ourselves…but had we not, other guests using it would have been just feet from our bedroom window and bed. It was perfect and beautiful for us without sharing it, however!

Offers 2 connected rooms for parties of 4 and more
The room was very specious and fit our family needs overall. Breakfast was very basic, and the distance from Acadia park was too long to travel back and forth every day. It was something we didn’t account for initially.

No major issues but disappointing. Property on highway and no lake view from room, which we thought we had booked. 60s feel to decor and furnishings. Did not feel particularly welcomed.

The property was poor value for the price of rooms. Our coffee maker and fireplace were not working upon arrival. The toilet clogged repeatedly and wifi in the room was weak and cut out frequently. Breakfast unimpressive.

8/10 Very Good

The room was large, set in a picturesque area with good bed, and the breakfast was very nice. The staff was also great and welcoming. However, the lack of soundproofing was a major downside — I could hear both the neighbors and the traffic clearly. Also, be aware that there’s no elevator, so if your room is in the cottage rather than the main building, you’ll need to walk up 2-3 floors by foot, which could be inconvenient for some guests.

The Inn was a great 'find'. The historical significance of the hotel and Inn was important to us. The natural setting is very excellent. Our room looked out over beautiful hotel grounds, well kept, and woodlands as far as the eye could see. Nice gazebo and chairs on the grounds. Good continental breakfast. The restaurant and food were good but the service was slow. Management was welcoming and helpful when needed. The Inn is also convenient to many historic and travel sites, e.g. we traveled to the Acadia National Forest from the Inn and spent a great day there. Highly recommend the Inn!!

Very pleasant inn, the mix of antiques and new amenities is very pleasing. Clean, feel of a high end lux hotel, but more friendly and family-run. Very enjoyable stay both times we have been here in the area.

Super hard bed so I hardly slept. We saved our towels for 3 days. We didn't put the privacy sign out, but room wasn't cleaned, towels not restocked like at other places. We could have asked at the desk, but that stuff should be automatic. The outside of the building is pretty.
