Wonderful hotel with delicious meals
We stayed 3 nights. We had a room facing the river with two twin beds, a mall sofa and another small bed. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom also very clean with a toilet room and shower. The hotel seems fairly new and is nicely decorated. The room was very quiet and had good air conditioning. A free shuttle will take you to the Shirakawa bus station (which is right near the gassho zukuri) and pick you up on a designated schedule. Many of the staff speak English. We got the breakfast and dinner included in our room plan and the meals were all delicious. Many dishes were new to us. A mix of beef and seafood. The third night’s dinner was amazing with sashimi, Hida beef sushi, and lobster hot pot (seems the more nights you stay the more amazing the food gets). The staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Shirakawa overnight but not do a farmhouse stay.

Really nice spot stay a night or 2 to enjoy Shirakawago. Facility amenities is unmatched. Onsite onsen is nice ( private/public). A bit far from the bus station however they do have shuttle service to the bus station and back. Highly recommended especially with a large party.

Bad decision
Bad hospitality, worst breakfast, when I asked for a coffee they sent me to the public coffee machine.
They didn't accepted our luggage after 11:00 am, and not to use the public bath after check out. They need to learn much more how to give nice hospitality for they're guests.

Oh dear where to begin. The stay was totally unnecessary and I would advise you to visit the gasso houses & town but then continue onwards to wherever you’re headed. Do not stay as The town offers nothing else. The hotel is a 50 room property with small public onsen. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed but furniture is very low. However it felt like a commercial people factory and I didn’t enjoy my stay despite the free ramen option 10-11pm or the free booze and snacks (very welcome and appreciated). Also the free shuttle to and from the station. Shirakawa-Go is a must see area (do make the climb to the observation area) but then it’s time to scarper and get out of dodge!!

Amazing hotel. Relatively new so everything was fresh and clean. Quiet location. Traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious. Hot spring baths were wonderful. Comfortable beds and spacious room. Part of Dormy Inn group as they had complimentary Yakult and coffee which was a bonus.
