Fantastic stay
We had a fantastic stay at Aqua Boracay! The hotel is clearly new and as it’s on the other, less developed side of the island, it benefits from a lot more space. This means the pool area is as stunning as the pictures and was a real treat to chill there. What really stands out is the service as every colleague is genuinely friendly and welcoming. They are consistent in their greeting and desire to help, no matter the time of day. We had a nice room which was spacious and nicely laid out, and was only one of the lower spec rooms so if you bag a suite then you’re in for a treat! The hotel is about a 5 min walk to D’Mall and no more than 10 mins to the beach at station 2, so isn’t in the main action but close enough to be there quickly and step away from the chaos to a quieter resort. The hotel also offers an hourly shuttle to and from D’Mall if you need it. Other than being in a quieter location the only other watch out the beach on this side is less developed and mainly for Kite surfers. If you want to relax at the beach and hire sun lounger / gets drinks then you’ll need to go to the main side of the island. This also meant it was very windy! It’s great that no one can smoke on their balcony but our only improvement would be that our room was at back of complex, near the smoking area, which meant we got the rancid smell of smoke every time we left our staircase (not in room) so would be good to give smokers these rooms as smell is awful. Overall a great stay at Aqua Boracay!
