Hotel Abri - Union Square

Reception area is very warm and hip. Room is clean and spacious but overall a bit dark. The washroom, also very spacious, feels a bit dark and dated as well. They gave us two bottles of water and a bottle of wine as complimentary. However no free bottles of water will be provided for rest of the stay. I rather have water instead of wine. Location-wise is perfect and very convenient. Close to union square and the cable car just locate around the corner. The hotel only gave 5 floors. We stayed on the 3rd but still quiet enough at night.

Nice, reasonable hotel in area with lots of conferences and tourist visits. Room was quite spacious by the standards of the area (I've stayed in a bunch of hotels nearby). Hallway and room felt a little old, but they were perfectly comfortable, and the hotel lobby was quite nice. Surprising that the restaurant attached to the hotel did not offer breakfast, but there are many places within a block or two.

Was able to check in (quite) early with very friendly staff. The welcome package (including a bottle of wine) was a nice bonus touch. I think the hotel was both a great value and genuinely quite nice. The room was small, but comfortable, and the WiFi worked well as did the fridge and shower.

The hotel staff and amenities are great. While small, the rooms are well appointed and updated. The only potential issue is that, given the location, the street noise is a bit intense. The windows in the rooms are a bit on the older side, so there's not a lot of insulation from external noises (sirens, horns, yelling, etc.). Still, it's part of staying in an urban area and can just come with the territory. I'd definitely stay there again.

The receptionist at the front desk are all so amazing and nice! I would definitely stay here again on my next trip! It's right by the shopping stores, great restaurants, and awesome night life!
