Onyx Hotel Miami Airport

The building was very outdated. They are renovating but not sure what’s going to help that place. It was ok for the one night stay we needed before having to go to the airport. Provided a shuttle, so that was nice. Bed was a bit rough- you could feel springs in the mattress with every move.

Very Disappointed

Filty!!! The corridor, elevator, room, etc. Someone was already in the room that we were assigned. Would never stay there again. Would have been better off sleeping in the airport.

Horrible experience, didn’t the rooms I had already reserved and payed for, it was 2:30am and I was still looking for another hotel to stay at because of the horrible front desk person and the long wait time on calls that would be transferred or hung up on, had to speak with someone for over an hour to see how I could get my money back because I didn’t even stay there and they said my refund wasn’t even gonna be secured when it was there fault and said if I do get a refund it would be in 7-10 days! Horrible experience for the whole family, had a plane to catch and got no rest at all do to the inconvenience of there system and timing errors!

I arrived very early in the morning and I could say that the young lady at the desk I wish I could remember her name she was quite helpful in trying to make my stay comfortable kudos to that young lady call went above and beyond her duty to make sure that this old lady got some rest. It was not the very best but it definitely was not the worst I was comfortable the room was clean.

Never again. Pillows weren't bad though

It's an airport hotel so I didn't have super high expectations going in. But my goodness. Tried to check in around 1:30pm on a Sunday. Not only was I hit with a $45 early check in fee (which was roughly half the nightly rate), they didn't even have the room type that I had booked ready. Early or otherwise, a si foe king wasn't going to be available. Ok no problem, these things happen. Still no way around the early check in fee except "wait it out in the lobby until 3:30 with the others who don't want to pay." Despite luggage carts sitting there and what looked to be a spacious back room, there was no possibility of the staff there holding a single suitcase for check in later either. So the options were to pay the exorbitant fee, shuffle the luggage to the bar or the IHOP, or sit in the humid, musty smelling lobby with a group of other people who refused to pay. Unreal. This is how they greet customers right off the bat. The room sucked too. AC unit couldn't keep up set at 72 and ran pretty much non stop all night, clanging and banging all throughout. There was a flashing security light from the parking lot that no matter what I tried with the blackout curtain, would still find its way into the room. The pillows didn't suck so there's that. Took one look at the water pressure in the shower and noped out of that scenario. Slept better on the plane ride home than I did in this hotel. Spend a little more and stay at a better property in the area.

HOTEL Onyx Stay Review.

We stayed two separate dates 1st time our greeting was very nice , we're informed of the amenities and Free Breakfast 6:30-9:30am . We went downstairs at 8:15 and the only things left at the was bacon and sausages bread and about 4 bagels No more cereal boxes or instant oatmeal. We asked and Said No More thats it. It ends too early a d not enough food. Next 2 nd.date we check-in was to early and had to wait, my husband wasn't feeling well so I if we could check-in early the tall big attend, said had to till 3:00 we, arrived from airport @11am I went again and asked about check-in early and the big tall guy with big hair yeah it'll be $40.00

Wifi was spotty so I get disconnected every so often from whatever I am searching or internet calls. Breakfast selections were few but at least there is. The hotel I stayed in at Orlando only provided drinks for breakfast.
