The hotel was disappointing. The cost was high for what I got, even for a holiday weekend. The lobby smelled like stale food. The desk clerk, while friendly, didn't even ask me for I.D., or have me fill out any paperwork. The desk clerk's buddies were lounging around the lobby, watching football the entire evening, eating. I didn't feel at all comfortable going out in to the lobby. My hotel room door was missing the secondary security bar, and the peephole was covered up, for some reason. If anyone had knocked on my door, I would not have been able to see who it was, or open the door a crack, since there was no security chain or bar. Any employee could have come in to my room at any time, since there was no way to block the door. I did not feel safe. I appeared that the desk clerk had several male friends just hanging around the lobby, who were there the evening I got there, and still there the next morning when I left, lounging around the lobby. There were people in the parking lot, cooking on a grill, playing loud music. My room was not very clean. I found spilled soda stains, a soda can and a spoon behind the bedside table. The bathtub was not super clean. Overall, the experience wasn't pleasant, was expensive for what I got, and had a shady atmosphere, with young adult guys hanging around, seemingly doing nothing, and didn't seem to have a reason to be there. The lobby smell was pretty bad, and I didn't feel that I could come out and enjoy the lobby area.
