Wonderful hotel and location. I loved this place and will make it my "go to" hotel when in Miami. The hotel is perfect Ocean Drive art deco but with modern amenities. Staff was incredibly polite and helpful. The location is fantastic, perfect for both day and night things to do.

Bad front desk service
The service at the desk isn't the best. My key kept on malfunctioning and it wasn't until the fourth time at the desk in 24 hours I was told not to leave it by my phone. I booked the stay through hotels.com and wanted to add another night. I made sure to inform the concierge and he said it'll be fine we can keep our room. Well we did but he charged us for it in addition to us paying hotels.com. I see the charge and go to him he apologized and said he'll take care of it. The next day checking out it asked again and again I was promised. Ten days later still on my card I had to call and be on hold for a while, total time 17 minutes to get my charge reversed. If you just want a place to sleep this is great. Close to the beach. But don't expect any service or security for that matter.

Whole the room we stayed in was not bad, the hotel itself is old and not updated at all. Drinks are EXTREMELY expensive both in the hotel and in South Beach in general. You woyld think being in a tourist area you would want to update uour hotel a bit. Location was perfect for the beach access and dining /drinking. Not a terrible hotel, we just wont be back.

They let me check-in early, late check-out, and held my luggage for a little while after check-out while I ate lunch at their restaurant. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
