We arrived after dinner time on a Wednesday, and were told upon check in that we could dine at Verbana, on site and that it was open. When we went to the bar area we weren’t able to be seated at a booth because, “The kitchen is trying to close up”. We did order three appetizers, some soup and drinks. A hostess came by and said, “Let me see what I can do about getting you seated”. She came back a few minutes later and apologized saying, “I can pull another high top over, the kitchen is working on closing”. That was a disappointment and led to our decision to dine off property for the rest of our trip. It seems as though the restaurant, bar and cafe are more concerned with serving the regulars that live close to the property than actual guests.
