DWO Valencia by Checkin

They give us a very bad room, very old and with bad odor, then we have to ask for a better room and they charge us 30 euros more for each night for a better room. Very bad experiencie. The beds are from Ikea and they said are a 4 star hotel, incredible. The good thing, they have a good breakfast.

The checkin hotel is much smaller than other hotels nearby which gives it a much more personal and friendly feel. The rooms are adequate and clean. The staff recognise you and greet you in a friendly way. There are hire bikes on site which is very useful. The hotel is well situated for going to the beach or the city centre and the science park. The bar although lovely doesnt open until 4pm which is the only place you can get food and drink and the menu is limited.

A great place very comfortable large, clean room. Easy access. Lots of close places to eat. A long walk to the beach or city but we did both. Staff were pleasant but not knowledgeable about things to do or see. Good breakfast in attractive room. We only speak English language and this created some difficulties in asking for assistance.

The hotel is far from being a 4 star (just enough to be a 3 star hotel but definitely no more). I had book a double room but I was given not only a room with 3 single bed but on top one without any day light (there was a roof window which was covered with dark paint so no light would come in). I was told that the types of room/bed was only on the basis of availability (which was not at all indicated while booking, so they should make it clear). The bathroom was really average (rather old), bed not comfortable. Would not really recommended.

on sunday night the bar was no staff the manager did not come in to sort it just put a notice up saying closed so there was no food at the hotel and you couldn't get a drink this was supposed to be a 4 star hotel

I liked that they had air conditioning in the room which was great as I was not use to the heat. Have a bike rental service in the hotel which is great for travelling around the city and to the beach

Rooms were small, but clean no sign for no service needed. Looked out close to apartments they could look in. Bathroom door bottom water cracked some mold. In neighborhood nothing around wouldn't go out after dark

This is a beautiful hotel, situated a 10 minute bus journey from the city centre, and a 20 minute walk from the harbour and beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the inner courtyard is very peaceful. It's a shame that the doors to the inner courtyard were often locked until 4.00pm (although are meant to open from 10.00am) and that, after breakfast finished, there was nowhere to get a drink in the hotel until the bar opened. Still,lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, serving good quality food and drinks. Would certainly stay here again.

Stayed here as was running the Valencia Marathon as only 20 minute walk away from start/finish area which was ideal. The location as a whole was great for seeing Valencia. The staff were all very helpful and polite.
