8/10 Very good

Check in was really easy as front desk is staffed. Corridors on the way to the room I did notice quite a few bleach stains on the carpets, but the room itself was clean. Close by places to eat and a bar downstairs. Parking for the night of our stay and also able to leave the car there for the duration of the holiday but paying a small fee which was really convenient.

Friendly staff but the worst bed ever

Old hotel in dire need of refurbishment. Staff were friendly and helpful but it was without a doubt the worst bed I have ever slept on.

Was only staying for a quick cheap stop on the way to London for a late check in and early start. Disappointed as the bar closes at 7 and that was one of the factors we decided to stay as we could just pop the bar when checking in for a quick drink before heading to bed for the early start. Price reflected hotel, room and decor but suited what we needed bar the bar being closed which was expected to be open.

8/10 Very good

It’s unique because it offers low cost, affordable rooms which are more than adequate for business travelling on a tight budget

Avoid!!!

This hotel should genuinely not be open to the public as it is clearly currently being used for housing refugees.

2/10 Poor

Poor

We booked to stay as we had a very early morning flight to Italy from Luton airport. Our flight was changed against our knowledge and wishes to another day, also to an early morning flight and the hotel refused to change our booking for a different day. We left the Uk earlier then expected so we’re not in the UK to use the room on the originally booked date that they would not refund or change the date even for a extra fee so we lost the price of the room and had to book and pay for another hotel as we were not giving this hotel any more money for the night before we did actually fly. Very bad service waste of money would never book again

Disgusting place

This hotel should not be allowed to be open to the public, it's full of homeless people, refugees and when we came back to get our car as we didn't feel safe leaving our car their so we didn't even stay, the reception area was taken over by about 20 people praying on their mats and looked insulted we had walked in. Disgusting hotel and not a safe feeling at all.

Really noisy neighbours (other guests). Not sure if this is a migrant hotel, but the guests were not very considerate, didn’t speak or understand English and were quite rude tbh. Stayed here for 2x 4 nights visits and will definitely NOT be staying again when in the area!!

Shower door fell off

Worst hotel i've stayed in, in my life and i work away most weeks. It started with check in where i was asked for my driving licence so he could make a copy (never been asked for that before). Then told reastaurant was closed although its advertised as breakfast and dinner restaurant (arrival time 6.45pm). The bedroom was dirty, the shower door fell off when i tried to close it, the bed was so hard and lumpy it was like sleeping on a wooden door. Lots of road noise because window wouldn't close properly. Needless to say i wont be booking in anymore even though ivl've just landed a big contract very close by.

Hotel horrible

Awful This is a grotty hotel and is used as a homeless housing placement - People have to live somewhere but this hotel shouldn’t be sold as a 3 star with restaurant and bar and there isn’t either. A bit of an experience and didn’t feel safe tbh

It was so run down and dirty I left

I didn't actually stay the night in the end after checking in and going to the room it was clear the hotel needs alot of work it's old dirty everything is dusty or covered on marks honestly the single worst hotel experience I have ever had I actually couldn't bring myself to stay I then booked into the Travelodge up the road

Poor service, dusty rooms with a horrid smell

The stay was overall disappointing. When I arrived, I was told I could not check in due to "computer issues" and that I would have to wait. This took around 20 minutes to resolve, and even then was only rushed because I prompted the receptionist. The corridors smelled of smoke, and felt like a construction site in parts. The room itself smelled of smoke too. It was dusty, with a large amount of dust settling on surfaces just overnight. The room was cold on entry, as the window had been left open. The bed was comfortable, but that was the only plus. The shower tray was missing too.

Don’t stay here

I book hotels that have a gym which this one said it did, on arrival I was told they don’t have a gym, I had to order food from outside. The furniture in the room looked ready for the tip they had a desk but no chair to sit at the desk. I was ready to walk out and book elsewhere but your policy on booking was non refundable. Disgrace!!!!

Avoid

Unclean, smelt profusely bad and no facilities was usable. Very disappointed in the hotel as online it appeared exquisite. Could not get a drink or a meal. All closed when i returned from the hospital at 9pm No staff around. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together. The bedding was soiled and also the towels. The hotel smelt very foisty

Old property desperately needs a refurbishment- windows don’t fit the room properly so very noisy from the street. Rubbish in the hallway and dirt all up the walls. Glad I only stayed one night!

Got ripped off from the hotel!

The place is old, but not an issue. But the sheets weren't really clean and found a pubic hairs on my pillow. I slept in my day clothes. The facilities had free parking. I parked and asked reception during check in if that's the right place to park and they advice me yes. After return home from my business trip, I get a parking ticket from the hotel. I provided my receipts and prove I actually stayed there but yet they still insist to charge me with debt collection. Two night stay was 140 pounds. The fine is 170 pounds, and with Eurocar admin charge 45 pounds. After repeated chasing with Eurocar & Hotels.com they still refuse to waive the amount. Want to get ripped off, this is a good place to start.
