DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach

The ocean view was magnificent the room itself could I been a lot better and the bathroom was extremely tiny!! Don’t know if I’d stay there again

This hotel is great place if you are looking to travel with your dog. They have a small dog park, and you can bring the dog to the beach ( we stayed here in early April; I heard this changes after Memorial Day ). The rooms are nice, of course. It's a Hilton Hotel. Breakfast is very expensive and was not included in the room price, but there are lots of breakfast places in the area. The beach is beautiful. I personally do not like to go into swimming pools, but this hotel has quite a few of them, including two lazy rivers, and they all look really nice. We will definitely return next year.

Booked our stay through Hotels.com. I never visited the hotels website. Upon returning from our trip, noticed charges of $319 on my credit card. We never put any charges on the card while we were there. When I called to ask about the charges, was told it was for $25/ day "resort fee" and $75/ day pet fee. (we did have our 6 pound dog with us) and chose this resort because it was pet friendly. The lady I spoke with said that in my confirmation email that I received from Hotels.com, that it states that there is a pet fee, and that it is paid directly to the hotel. I reviewed the email, and did not see that anywhere. I called her back to tell her, and she said "well it's on our website". I explained that I never visited their website, and If I had known it was $75/ night, I would have boarded our dog instead, as it would have been less expensiive. She agreed to refund 2 of the $75 pet fees (2 nights), but still billed us for $75 for one night. I did see in the email from Hotels.com about the "resort fee" and agreed to those charges which after taxes are $25/ day. I've stayed at many hotels/ resorts in the Myrtle Beach area, and never paid an additional resort fee. The room was fine. However, the heated indoor pools were not working properly. (big bummer since it was cold out and our kids wanted to swim). They swam anyway, despite it being luke warm. A big surprise to me was the lack of any hot tubs. All other resorts I've stayed out have at least one. Probably wont stay agai

We had a very late checkin, which I called ahead about, and the attendant was there waiting and very polite when we arrived. Room was nicely remodeled. Could have used another lamp or light in the room, but other than that, we were very satisfied.

I wasn’t aware of the additional $105 that I was charged for the 4 nights on top of the cost per night for resort fees. When we booked, this info was never shared with us. Rip off
