Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites West Edmonton, an IHG Hotel

Upon my arrival, the front desk clerk, Brooke, was there to explain everything to me. She even went above and beyond to print off a map to show me where my appointment was the next morning. The restaurant was great, tasty food. Really recommend this hotel.

Booked this room off Hotels.com for a night with my wife and I as it looked nice, had decent reviews (8.8) and was neat the location we wanted to be staying. Arrived and met reception to check in. Ttwice during check in other people walked up and the attendant stopped her work with me and yelled to have conversations to other guests who had walked up in line. Checked in and went to our room. Immediately as we opened the door to the room there was a horrifically strong stench of smoke and some type of soapy smell it seems they tryied to cover up the smell with. The room had been made up but appeared dirty and poorly kept with a large stain on the bench where u set you luggage. I wa only in the room less than 30 seconds and went to the front desk to change rooms I voiced the problem at the reception and the attendant did not seem concerned, empathetic, or embarrassed . She gave me a new room with out much further comment. Upon entry to second room it looked a bit better. Went to find a lite and the standing lamp tipped over as it was broke, when I pulled the light on. They had rested the shade of the lamp it in the corner to make it stand up right. Came to entryway to get my luggage and there were holes in the wall paper that had been covered with drywall patch. My wife and I sat for a couple mins deciding wether to stay. Room was dirty. Throat got sore and Started to coughed the in mins of Being in room and decided to leave Hotel did not seem concerned at al

Very friendly staff

Would atay there again. Bery spacious, however a bit older furniture etc. Had fridge, microwave and even had plates and bowls.

Very clean and neat the bed was very comfortable.the room was very quiet giving us a really restful sleep.i would definitely stay here again

This hotel is good, but I think it can be improve for cleaning.

The front desk receptionist was excellent and very polite and helpful! She went above and beyond to make our stay easy and pleasant!
