We had bookings for 3 nights. Upon arrival we were told that they cannot find our reservation for the first night ( which was done separately) and put us up in a room that we didn’t book. They said it was an upgrade free of cost which we didn’t ask . We wanted to be put in the room that we booked. They said it’s not available until the next day. Next day when we return to the hotel after a daylong trip we saw that the room that was allotted to us doesn’t look anything like the picture of the room I booked. The design was completely different. When we brought this to the management’s attention , instead of apologizing he started arguing and tried to defend himself.
The situation became so unpleasant we decided to leave the hotel . Yes the hotel agreed to refund our money .
Apparently there were other unhappy customers who had complaints but that doesn’t justify the manager’s rudeness as it’s technically entirely their fault.
The only unfortunate , unpleasant experience we encountered during our two weeks Turkish sojourn. Everywhere else it was truly memorable!
